CBSE Exam datesheet: Great, to be released on 18 May
CBSE Exam datesheet, CBSE will release the dates for pending exams of 10th and 12th classes on 18 May. As per earlier reports, CBSE Exam datesheet was supposed to be released on 16 May.
But disclosing the CBSE Exam datesheet did not happen. Sources say, CBSE is taking some additional technical aspects into consideration before they can finalise the CBSE Exam datesheet.
Even Union Minister for Human Resource Development Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank is said to have tweeted this.
CBSE Exams for 10th and 12th classes were postponed in the past.
First time it was postponed when protests were witnessed across the nation with regards to Citizenship Amenment Act.
After the protests subsided, new CBSE Exam datesheet was formed for conducting the exams. However, exams could not be conducted as nation came to standstill due to outbreak of corona virus.
Not only CBSE 10th and 12th exams, even competitive exams like Civil Services Prelims, Indian Forest Service Exam were postponed along with university graduate and post graduate exams and state board 10th and 12th exams.
Since then on students across the nation are eager to know the CBSE Exam datesheet. In the recent past Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced the exams will be from 1 to 15 July.
The enthusiasm for the CBSE Exam datesheet will be no less as students in no less number will be writing the exams every year.
This year too over 18 lakh students are said to have applied for CBSE 10th exams, and for 12th exams, over 12 lakh candidates are said to have applied.
While many have come to praise the effort taken towards bringing out CBSE Exam datesheet for 2020 exams, good number of them suggested lenient evaluation.
S.R. Aruanandam, a Chemistry teacher says this year stands to be quite different. ‘Much damage has been caused now owing to the protests, outbreak of the virus.’
Couple of students could have prepared well, while many others would not have due to valid reasons. As this year stands different from the previous ones, invigilators can take a lienient approach during evaluation.
Students who are from the areas where corona virus cases are high may not be able to write the exam, he says. Best thing would be to conduct exams in two schedules, says M. Muthukrishnan, also a teacher.
One schedule will be for students from the areas where there is no outbreak. The other schedule will be for those who are from areas where there are COVID 19 cases.
CBSE Exam datesheet can be different for both these schedules, he reminds. Couple of others have suggested that the students can be passed based on internal assessments as currently the situation may not be favourable for conducting the exam.

In the meanwhile, a fake CBSE Exam datesheet is said to be under circulation on the social media platforms. That CBSE Exam datesheet is said claim that Business Studies subject is the exam to be held on 1 July.
Central Board of Secondary Education however has said that the circulating CBSE Exam datesheet is a fake one.
The officials of CBSE have requested the public once again not to fall prey to such CBSE Exam datesheet or other information doing rounds in social media platforms as they may not be genuine.

The evaluation process for the board exams that are written earlier has already begun, it is expected to be completed in 50 days. August will be the month when the results are likely to be announced.
