CBSE board exam from great May 4, results on July 15
CBSE board exam for 10th and 12th standards in 2021 will take place from 4 May to 10 June.
Union Minister for Education made this announcement on 31 December. The announcement has brought in lot of relief to students and parents.
It is interesting to note that students and parents have urged the Union Education Minister to postpone the CBSE board exam of 2021.
Many parents and teachers even asked the exams to be conducted in May, while good deal of others suggested CBSE board exam for 2021 to be conducted beyond May.
There is a good reason behind the suggestion to conducte CBSE board exam in May, for this would give enough time for students to prepare for the exam.
The usual trend is to conduct CBSE board exam from February to March every year.
However, various factors ensured that CBSE board exam for 10th and 12th classes never took place according to the actually planned schedule.
While one was violent protests witnessed over CAA, the other was outbreak of corona virus. Both these factors disrupted the exam schedule.
As many felt the academic sessions in schools across the country began late this year, the demand demand to conduct CBSE board exam beyond February – March grew stronger.
Late beginning of academic schedule and conducting exams very early means students would be left with very little time for preparation.
It is amidst this situation that Union Education Minister made the announcement regarding dates for CBSE board exam for 2021.
Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank at a webinar earlier said CBSE board exam for 10th and 12th standards will not be held in February to March as per the usual trend.
He also said dates for CBSE board exam will be announced after extensive consultation with all stake holders.
The written exams in CBSE board exam for 12th and 10th standards will start from May, the practical exams will be commence in March, said Union Minister RP Nishank.
Sources say, the decision to conduct CBSE board exam came after several round of consultations with various stake holders.
Sources also point out that consultations were held with other educational boards also.
People who are concerned about CBSE board exam for 2021 need not worry. All the updates regarding CBSE board exam 2021 will be available on the official website.
It is interesting to note that Union Minister had earlier mentioned in one of the interactions that CBSE board exam will be conducted offline.
The online option cannot be considered as not all areas in the country have good internet connectivity which is vital if exams are to be held online, said Union Minister.
Sources say, schools can conduct practicals, projects, internal assessment for class 12 students from 1 March till the last date of the CBSE board exam.
The samething holds good for 10th standard students of CBSE. Students and parents are eagerly waiting for the date sheet.
Sources say datesheet for CBSE 10th and 12th exam for 2021 will be released soon.
It was a couple of days ago that Union Minister made an announcement on Twitter that the dates for CBSE exam will be declared by 6 pm of 31 December.
Ever since there has been an interest among the students and parents and they eagerly waited for the moment when exam dates were to be revealed.
Even as the reminder of exam date announcement came up on Twitter on 31 December morning, students hurried to put of lot of demands.
A few students said exams must be conducted as per the schedule to be announced and not postpone it.
Post exam date announcement, also saw rain of messages on Twitter. Students have conveyed in an attractive manner their views on exam date announcement.
While couple of them have expressed happiness of over the decision to conduct the board exam in May, the others have shown the need to commence preparation for the exams.
