CAT 2023 registration will take place from 2 August to 13 September 2023. It is about Common Admission Test (CAT) which is conducted to provide admission into IIMs located across India.
Application for CAT 2023 will start by 10 AM on 2 August 2023. Candidates can take up CAT 2023 registration till 5 PM on 13 September 2023. The admit card for the exam will be made available by 5 PM on 25 October 2023 onwards.
Those who have successfully completed their CAT 2023 registration will only be able to download the admit card till 26 November 2023. The exam will be conducted on 26 November 2023.
The results for the exam will be tentatively declared in the second week of January 2024. The date for the result declaration will be informed on the official website in due course.

However, the link to take up CAT 2023 registration is not active, it will be made active on 2 August 2023, after which they can start submitting applications.
The full name of the exam is Common Admission Test which is popularly known to all as CAT. It is conducted every year by one of IIMs located in India.
It is a national level exam that has to be passed to gain admission into management courses offered by IIMs and is conducted every year.
CAT 2023 is meant to be conducted this year (2023) and IIM Lucknow will be organizing the exam for 2023. The CAT 2023 score is valid only till December 31, 2024 and will accordingly be accessible on the
website.
Thereafter, no queries related to the issuance of CAT 2023 scorecards will be entertained. The exam will be conducted in three sessions on the day of the exam.
Many other popular management institutions located across India also provide admission into management courses offered by them based on CAT scores. Students who pass CAT 2023 with good scores will be able to seek admission into even non-IIM business schools also.
Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also take up CAT 2023 registration.
However, they have to pass the exam and provide a proof for it by the time of admission process in IIMs commences.
The process to take up CAT 2023 registration is online and candidates have to visit the official website of the exam which is accessible at ‘www.iimcat.ac.in’
1. The URL mentioned above must be typed into the browser and submitted to allow the website to download.
2. Once the website is ready, candidates can click the information brochure and know about the exam.
3. After reading the information, candidates can click the link for registration which will open another webpage.
4. When another webpage opens, candidates can provide the required information and create an account with username and password.
5. Post account creation, candidates can login and start applying for the exam.
Candidates have to pay CAT 2023 registration fee of Rs 2400 while applying for the exam. The same is Rs 1200 for candidates of ST/SC and PwD categories.
Candidate needs to pay the CAT 2023 registration fee only once, irrespective of the number of institutes he/she is applying for.
SC,ST and PwD candidates must upload a copy of their SC/ST/PwD certificates at the time of registration. Fees once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
Candidate’s CAT 2023 scorecards will be made accessible on the CAT website. Candidates may also be intimated individually by SMS. The CAT results are likely to be declared by the second week of January,
2024.

CAT 2023 will be conducted online as a computer based test where the questions have to be answered on a computer screen at the test center.
Duration to complete answering is 2 hours or 120 minutes. The test will have questions related to Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Aptitude (QA).
The exam will be conducted in three sessions – morning (8:30 AM to 10:30 AM), afternoon (12:30 PM to 2:30 PM) and evening (4:30 PM to 6:30 PM).
