Board exams 2021: CBSE postpones great 12th std exams
Board exams 2021 are subject matter of attention with CBSE postponing its exams.
The move comes amidst a situation where nation is witnessing a second wave of COVID-19 infections.
The situation will be reviewed on 1 June and details will be shared subsequently. A notice of atleast 15 days will be given before the start of the examinations, said CBSE in the notification.

What about board exams 2021 (CBSE 10th class)? They were meant to be held from 4 May to 7 June, however, they are cancelled now.

The results for Class 10 board exam will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board.
Students who are not satisfied with the marks allotted to them would be given an opportunity to appear for the exams when conducted, said CBSE in the notification.

As this state is no exception to rising COVID-19 cases, the decision not to conduct 10th exams was taken.
However, board exams 2021 for 12th class in Chhattisgarh are likely to be conducted on the dates decided earlier.
The 12th class exams are to start from 3 May and go on till 24 May.
No decision has so far been made about the schedule decided earlier, which only means 12th exams will take place as per the schedule decided earlier.
The schedule for 10th and 12th class exams is said to have been revised. The 10th class tests will be conducted from 8 to 25 May.
Delhi government also is said to have decided to conduct board exams 2021 on some other date. Class 9 and 11 exams are postponed.

However, the decision to cancel 10th exams and postpone 12th exams was welcome for many sections.
The decision regarding the current year board exams of CBSE was taken after a high level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Now what? The sources keeping track of education sector say that the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is likely to reconsider the decision regarding board exams under its stream.
While board exams may have either been postponed or cancelled, this does not mean any relief for students.
The cancellation or postponement does not mean relaxation, says G. Krishnamurthy, a former principal of CBSE school.
They must continue to study their lessons of classes 10,11 and 12 as they have to still prepare for NEET or JEE Mains and other competitive entrance exams for higher education entry.
