BITS Pilani: Apply before great December 6

BITS Pilani is inviting applications for BTech Engineering Technology programme and last date to apply is December 6. The course is of seven semester duration and is work integrated learning programme for working professionals.
It is designed to provide this advantage to the learners. The course by BITS Pilani provides a broad intellectual foundation in the contemporary technologies while developing the relevant engineering fundamentals and introduces the important methods of technology practice.


It is also meant for experienced professionals aspiring to gain an overall competency in the popular technology domains, which sets them apart from narrow specialisations.
Eligibility
Candidates willing to take up this course by BITS Pilani should be working professionals with minimum of two years work experience. They should be holding Diploma in Engineering of BSc in relevant disciplines with 60 percent pass marks.
How to apply
The procedure to apply for BTech Engineering Technology course by BITS Pilani is online. Candidates have to visit BITS Pilani Online Application Centre and take up registration to obtain username and password.

Post obtaining the username and password through registration, applicants can use them and login and commence applying for the course by BITS Pilani. Applicants have to provide the required details and then submit the application form for the course by BITS Pilani.
Post submission of the application form, candidates have to download the application form copy and take a printout. Once the printout is taken, candidates have to pay the registration fee of Rs 1,500.
The downloaded application will have employee consent form and mentor consent form, applicants for this course from BITS Pilani have to get the signatures of their employers and mentors.


If the applicants for this course of BITS Pilani are working from home, they can send the employer consent form and mentor consent form in the required format through email and obtain them.

After obtaining the approval, candidates have to send the application form along with approval forms, qualification marksheets to the authorities concerned in BITS Pilani.
Upon receipt of the application form and all other enclosures, the Admissions Cell will scrutinise them for completeness, accuracy and eligibility.
Admission Cell will intimate selected candidates by email within two weeks of submission of application with all supporting documents. The selection status can also be checked by logging in to the Online Application Centre of BITS Pilani.

In case the applicants of this course of BITS Pilani do not find the required mentor in their company, they can approach any other company and choose a person who meets the required qualifications as a mentor.
If the applicant has to choose a mentor from another company owing to lack of a suitable mentor in his or her company, the applicants have to provide a justification document which is accepted by the applicant’s employer.
Mentor qualification
Person who has the relevant work experience and has qualification of B.E./B.S./B.Tech./M.Sc./A.M.I.E./ Integrated First Degree of BITS or equivalent can be chosen as a mentor.

The fees
Applicants have to pay the application fees (one time) of Rs 1,500 and admission fees (one time) of Rs 16,500 and semester fees (per semester) of Rs 57,750.

Lectures are conducted live via online classes. These lectures can be attended via the internet
using a computer from any location. These online classrooms offer similar levels of interactivity as
regular classrooms at the BITS Pilani campus.
Classes for students admitted during the period Oct 2021 – Jan 2022 will begin in Jan 2022. The
class schedule is announced within 1 week of completion of the admission process.
The online lectures are conducted usually over weekends for a total of 7-8 hours per week. If one
misses a lecture, they can also access the recorded lecture on the internet.
