AISSEE 2021 exam application submission last date has been extended till 18 December this year.
The earlier last date to submit applications for AISSEE 2021 exam was 3 December this year.
National Testing Agency (NTA) which conducts AISSEE 2021 exam, has received lot of representations that many applicants from SC/ST/OBC-NCL categories are finding it difficult to obtain category certificate.
The decision was taken to enable these applicants to obtain category certificate.
About the exam
AISSEE is also known as All India Sainik Schools Entrance Exam.
Candidates who are willing to seek admission from classes 6 and 9 in Sainik Schools located across India have to pass AISSEE.
The exam is conducted every year and AISSEE 2021 is the exam for next year for which applications are being invited now.
NTA conducts AISSEE 2021 and declares the result and hands it over to Sainik Schools Society (SSS) which runs Sainik schools located across India.
The rest of the process is handled by SSS.
The final selection is based on school-wise, classwise, category-wise rank in merit list of the Entrance examination, medical fitness approved by competent medical authorities and verification of original documents.
Important dates
The submission of application for AISSEE 2021 has begun on 20 October, the last date to submit application was initially 19 November, which got extended to 3 December and then to 18 December.
Candidates can now apply till 5 pm of 18 December, registration fee can be paid till 11:50 pm of 18 December.
As the last date to submit application for AISSEE 2021 exam has been extended so has the date of exam undergone a change.
As per the change, AISSEE 2021 will be conducted on 7 February 2021 instead of its earlier planned 10 January 2021.
The correction window will be made open by third week of December in connection with AISSEE 2021 exam. Applicants can make corrections to details provided while filling the application form for AISSEE 2021 exam.
The final selection is based on school-wise, classwise, category-wise rank in merit list of the Entrance examination, medical fitness approved by competent medical authorities and verification of original documents.
Those who wish to join class 9 in sainik schools through AISSEE 2021 exam must be between 13 to 14 years as on 31 March 2021.
The candidates seeking entry in class 9 must also have passed their class 8 from a recognised institute.
How to apply
Candidates willing to apply for AISSEE 2021 exam must remember that the process for applying is online.
Applicants must visit the official website for the exam at ‘https://aissee.nta.nic.in/webinfo/public/home.aspx’ and scroll down the page to find the button ‘Fill Application Form – AISSEE 2021’
Post clicking the button they can see another page downloading, when the page is downloaded, applicants can begin the registration process for obtaining username and password.

Once the page for registration downloads, candidates can click the button ‘New Registration’ written in white colour on orange background.
After obtaining the username and password, candidates can move to the rightside and enter the username and password and login and commence applying for AISSEE 2021 exam.
After filling the application for AISSEE 2021 exam, candidates have to upload the following documents:
# Scanned images of Candidate‟s Photograph (file size: 10 kb – 200 kb) in JPG/JPEG format
# Candidate‟s Signature (file size: 4kb – 30kb) in JPG/JPEG format.
# Candidate‟s left-hand thumb impression. (file size 10 kb -50 kb) in JPG/JPEG format.
# (In case of any eventuality of left thumb being unavailable, right hand thumb impression may be used)
# Date of Birth Certificate
# Domicile Certificate
# Caste/ Community/ Category Certificate
# Certificate of service (for Defence category-serving) and PPO for Exservicemen, as applicable.
The certificates as detailed above must be in the size of 100 kb to 400 kb in JPG or JPEG format.
Post uploading the above documents, candidates can now move to pay the registration fee for AISSEE 2021 exam.
The payment can be made using SBI/ICICI Bank/Paytm payment gateways.
The registration fee for AISSEE 2021 exam can be paid throgh credit card, debit card, online banking also.
The registration fee
The application fee for AISSEE 2021 exam for applicants of General category, childre for defence personnel and ex-servicemen, OBC/NCL is Rs 550.
The same for the candidates from SC/ST category is Rs 400.
AISEE 2021 exam for 6th standard admission is for 300 marks totally and questions are from maths, intelligence, language and general knowledge.
The admission exam for 9th standard is for 400 marks totally and questions in the test are from maths, intelligence, english, general science and social science.
The questions will be in multiple choice format and no negative marking is there for wrong answers.
Point to remember
A candidate is eligible for admission to the Sainik Schools, if he or she secures a minimum of 25% marks in each subject of the exam and 40% marks in aggregate of all the subjects of AISSEE 2021 exam.
However, admission will be based on relative merit in AISSEE 2021 exam of candidate in his/her category in the school opted by him/her, medical fitness and verification of requisite documents.
However, no minimum marks are prescribed for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or
Scheduled Tribe category.
They will be admitted on the basis of inter-se merit at the entrance examination within their respective categories, subject to medical fitness and
verification of requisite documents.
