AIIMS UG PG Admission 2020, the dates to inform the final status of applications submitted for post graduate and undergraduate courses offered by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) have been postponed. Sources from AIIMS say, the decision to postpone has been taken due to the corona virus outbreak.

AIIMS offers various courses at graduate and post graduate levels and invites applications for them. This time also applications have been invited under AIIMS UG PG Admission 2020.

After the basic registration the status about the applications submitted is provided. Opportunity to take up correction with regards to applications that are rejected during basic registration is given.

Prospectus is uploaded and code for final registration is generated. After this chance for final registration is provided (payment of fees and indicating choice of the city) only for those who have generated code for final registration.

After that the final status of application that are accepted and rejected are informed and even reason for rejection is also informed. Post this, applicants of AIIMS UG PG Admisssion 2020 are given an opportunity for submission of documents for regularisation of rejected applications.

After this hall tickets are made available for downloading and exams with regards to AIIMS UG PG Admission 2020 are conducted.

The final status of the submitted applications for post graduate courses with regards to AIIMS UG PG Admission 2020 was to be made known on 27 and 29 April and that is now postponed.

About courses
AIIMS UG PG Admission 2020 is about applying for various graduate and post graduate courses. The post graduate courses offered under AIIMS UG PG Admission 2020 are MSc (Nursing) and M.Biotechnology and other M.Sc courses.

The graduate courses offered through AIIMS UG PG Admission 2020 are B.Sc (Honours, Nursing), B.Sc (Nursing, post-basic), B.Sc (Paramedical courses).

The basic registration for the post graduate courses began 13 December 2019 as a part of AIIMS UG PG Admission 2020 and went on till 31 January this year.

The M.Sc courses are offered in Medical Anatomy, Medical Biochemistry, Biophysics, Medical Physiology, Medical Pharmacology and Biotechnology.

Candidates having MBBS/BDS (55% FOR Gen./EWS/OBC & 50% for SC/ST Categories), B.V.Sc. (c) B. Pharmacy (d) Bachelor of Physio-therapy(4½ year Course), B.Sc. degree of minimum three years duration in any subject can apply for the above mentioned post graduate courses.

AIIMS UG PG Admission 2020

For M.Sc course in Reproductive Biology and Clinical Embryology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Cardiovascular Imaging and Endovascular Technologies applicants must be a B.Sc in any one of these disciplines.

For M.Sc course in Reproductive Biology and Clinical Embryology, applicant must be B.Sc degree in any of the discipline related to Biology or allied to Biology.

For M.Sc in Nursing candidates must be having a B.Sc in Nursing B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing /B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Certificate)/Post-Basic /B Sc. Nursing (4years) course from any recognised University, from an educational institution recognised by the Indian Nursing Council with 60% marks for Gen/OBC/EWS candidates (55% marks in case of SC/ST candidates).

M.Biotechnology candidates must be a B.Tech in biotechnology or B.Sc in biotechnology or allied science or B.Sc in any science field or B.Pharmacy.

AIIMS UG PG Admission 2020 also offers admission into M.Sc into Nuclear Medicine Technology and candidates must be a B.Sc. degree holder in Nuclear Medicine from a recognized University.

The candidate can also have B.Sc degree with Physics/Chemistry/ Mathematics from a recognized University. Or a B.Sc in allied/related subject of Radio Diagnosis/Radiotherapy from a recognized University. Or B.Sc. in life Sciences with Physics as a subject from recognized University.

For M.Sc in Cardiovascular Imaging and Endovascular Technologies applicant must be a B.Sc. degree holder in Radiography from a recognized university.

Applicants for M.Sc in Biotechnology must have B.Sc in Biology or Biotechnology or any other allied science stream or a B.Tech in Biotechnology.

As far as undergraduate courses are concerned for which admission is being taken up under AIIMS UG PG Admission 2020, the candidates applying for B.Sc Honours in Nursing must have passed the 12th Class or Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination from a recognized board with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects with a minimum aggregate marks of 55% for Gen/EWS/OBC and 50% for SCs/STs categories.

Applicants for B.Sc Paramedical courses must be a pass in 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and either
Biology or Mathematics with 50% for Gen/EWS/OBC and 45% in case of SCs/ STs categories.

B.Sc Nursing (post basic) applicants must be Passed 12th class. Even those who have Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from any institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council can also apply. The applicants must also have registration as nurse, RN, RM (registered nurse, registered midwife) with any State Nursing Council (For BSc Nursing Post-Basic).

The basic registration for the under graduate courses in AIIMS UG PG Admission 2020 started on 12 December last year and went on till 16 January this year.

The date of examination for B.Sc Nursing (post basic) is to be held on 6 June, for B.Sc Paramedical courses the date of exam is to be held on 20 June and date of exam for B.Sc Honours in Nursing is on 28 June.

The date of exam for post graduate courses with regards to AIIMS UG PG Admission 2020 are 6 June for M.Sc in Nursing, for M.Sc courses the date of exam is 4 July and for M.Biotechnology the date of exam is said to be on 4 July.

VITEEE 2025 application submission can be undertaken till 7 April 2025 at ‘https://viteee.vit.ac.in/’ The submission started on 4 November 2024. 

The last date to submit VITEEE 2025 application was 31 March 2025 earlier, now that has been extended to 7 April 2025.

VITEEE 2025 Registration Fees

Students have to pay Rs 1350 as fee while taking up VITEEE 2025 application submission. The application form can be submitted after paying the registration fee.

Admit card

Candidates who have completed their VITEEE 2025 application submission successfully alone can download the admit card for appearing for the exam. The process to download the admit card is mentioned below for the sake of the students:

Candidates looking towards appearing for the exam at a test center have to download the admit card, those choosing to appear through remote proctored mode (if available) may not need to download the hall ticket, they can book the slot and appear for the test from anywhere.

After VITEEE 2025 application submission

Students have to appear for the exam and pass it with required qualifying marks to be eligible for participating in the counselling process.

VITEEE for B.E/B.Tech programs will have a total of 125 questions constituting 125 marks. The no. of questions is given as Mathematics/Biology-40 questions, Physics-35 questions, Chemistry-35 questions, Aptitude-10 questions and English-5 questions.

Vellore Institute of Technology will conduct VITEEE 2025 exam for 2 hours and 30 minutes duration.

All the questions shall be multiple choice type; each correct answer shall have one mark and there is no negative marking for incorrect ones. 

Candidates who are wishing to take up science oriented courses have to attempt questions related to maths, physics and chemistry.

Those keen on biology or biotechnology oriented engineering courses have to attempt questions from biology, physics and chemistry. English and Aptitude questions are compulsory along with maths/biology, physics and chemistry.

Such candidates will not get any chance to attend the counselling process. Out of the total 125 questions, the sections include mathematics/biology (40), physics (35), chemistry (35), aptitude (10), and English (5).

Post preparation

Candidates have to appear for VITEEE 2025 and then pass it with required qualifying marks to be eligible for the next phase of the admission process.

The phase after written exam is counselling, those who have passed the written exam with required qualifying marks can take part in the counselling where candidates get to choose the college and course they wish to study.

Counselling is usually conducted in more than one round, those who get a seat in the initial rounds can pay the fees and join the classes.

Students who don’t get a seat in the first round can try in the subsequent rounds. Selection of candidates will be done on criteria like performance in the qualifying exam, performance in the written test, availability of seats in each course, demand for each course, choice of the candidates.
