Admissions on for M.Des at IIT-B
Students aspiring to do a M.Des (Masters in Design, Master of Design) course have a news worth noting. Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B) in inviting application from eligible candidates for M.Des course for academic year 2020-21. The mode of applying for the course is online and can be done by clicking the link of IIT Bombay ‘http://www.iitb.ac.in/newacadhome/mdes.jsp’ Once the above link is clicked the M.Des information brochure can be accessed there.
Candidates have to read the brochure that informs about the course and eligibility conditions and then go ahead with the task of applying for the course.
IIT B ( IIT-Bombay)
In case if the candidates are from foreign nations, they have to submit equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi for qualifying degree and proof of having 55% or equivalent in the qualifying degree. Candidates should produce this certificate at the time of written test and interview, failing to do that will result in admission committee rejecting the application.
The course application registration began on 4 March and will go on till 18 March. The last date to apply and pay the application fees is 18 March. The list of candidates shortlisted for M.Des test and interview will be on display on 6 April at IIT-B portals ‘http://www.iitb.ac.in/newacadhome/mdes.jsp’ or ‘Link‘
Day of written test for the candidates is 17 April and date of interview is 18 and 19 April, the results will be declared on website of IIT Bombay on 4 May. Payment of fees and confirmation of admission can be done at 11 May. IIT-Bombay will announce subsequent admissions in M.Des if seats remain vacant post the present admission procedure.
The application fee is Rs 300 for male candidates and Third Gender candidates from general, OBC(NC) categories. The same is Rs 150 for male applicants of physically challeged, SC and ST category. The fee for female candidates of general, OBC (NC), SC, ST and physically challenged categories is Rs 150.
