While 2021 GATE exam will be held on 5th,6th,7th and 12th, 13th,14th of February, halltickets for the well-known exam was opened for download on January 8.

This will help applicants get an idea as to how the actual admit card would look like upon download.
Candidates who have see their halltickets for 2021 GATE exam after entering their enrollment ID or email address and password must check for the accuracy of information on the admit cards.
Applicants who have applied for more than one paper in 2021 GATE exam have to download seperate halltickets for each paper.
Error rectification
The hallticket for 2021 GATE exam will have details like candidate’s name, time of the exam, date of the exam, his or her roll number, centre of the exam and others.
Applicants for 2021 GATE exam have to ensure there are no errors in the above said details.
In case they find any errors, applicants can take it to the notice of authorities concerned for rectification.
Applicants who find errors in the halltickets they downloaded have to send an email to their respective zonal office of 2021 GATE exam.
Candidates have to send an email explaining the type of error found on the admit card to respective zonal office of 2021 GATE exam and also send a copy of the same to the organising institute, IIT Bombay.
The email must have the title ‘Correction in Admit Card’ in the subject line. Students willing to seek correction in halltickets can send their emails by 13 January.

Mock test links
Applicants for 2021 GATE exam can strengthen their preparation making use of the mock test links.
These test links are available for all the papers (subjects) at the official website of 2021 GATE exam.
Candidates can go to the website hosting the mock test links at ‘https://gate.iitb.ac.in/mock.php’
After the webpage downloads, candidates can scroll down the page to find the subjects, candidates can click on the subject and enter their username and password and start answering the questions.
It is to remember that test links are for creating an idea as to how the test would be and help students practise.
Questions in the actual test of 2021 GATE may vary. Candidates are requested to use these links for practise.
Though there are other links that sponsor mock tests for 2021 GATE exam, applicants should be careful about them as they could be fake.
It is interesting to note that two new subjects were introduced in GATE exam which gave scope for students from humanities and arts also to apply.
A total of 14,196 students have applied for humanities related paper introduced this year.

GATE is for candidates aspiring to study post graduation programmes in presitigious institutions.
The exam is also for students who wish to seek financial assistance to study post graduate programmes.
The score for 2021 GATE exam is valid for a period of three years.
Couple of public sector undertaking companies also use the score in GATE exam for recruitment. 2021 GATE exam will be conducted for 27 subjects.
2021 GATE is conducted in different cities across India as well as six cities outside India.
GATE exam in international centres will be conducted only if the current COVID-19 situation eases and travel and other restrictions are relaxed.
Else 2021 GATE in international centres could be cancelled.
The first session will be in the morning from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and second session for GATE will be from 3 pm to 6 pm.
These are the dates announced as of now, they could change if situation demands it. In case, there is a need to change the exam schedule owing to factors like COVID-19 situation, then a new schedule with fresh dates and timings may be announced.

The result of 2021 GATE will be released on 22 March this year.
