VTUEEE 2020: Great chance to study engineering
VTUEEE 2020 will be a very fine way to study engineering. Candidates who wish to study B.Tech courses in various streams of engineering can get ready to write VTUEEE 2020 exam.
About the exam
VTUEEE 2020 also known as Vel Tech Undergraduate Engineering Entrance Examination 2020 is conducted by Vel Tech (Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology) to provide admission into undergraduate engineering programmes offered by it.
Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), CSE specialisation is offerd in Animation and Game Design, Data Analysis, Financial Computing, Networking and Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence.
The other streams of engineering are Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology (IT), IT specialisation in Cloud Computing, Mechanical Engineering.
Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Automobile Engineering in collaboration with ARAI and
GARC is also being offered under industry collaborated B.Tech programme scheme.
Important dates
Currently second phase of VTUEEE 2020 is going on. The date of registration has begun on 8 October last year and is going on till 10 April this year. The admit card for Phase 2 will tentatively released by 11 April.
The exam for Phase 2 will be held between 23 to 26 April in both online and offline mode. The result for phase 2 will be declared on 6 May. The Phase 1 of the exam registration went on from 8 October last year to 10 January in both online and offline mode.
How to apply
Application can be made for VTUEEE 2020 through online and offline mode.
Online
Candidates willing to apply for VTUEEE 2020 online must logon to the website of Vel Tech at ‘https://www.veltech.edu.in/btech-admissions/‘ to undertake registration.
After visiting the website, applicants must first register themselves by providing their name, email id, their choice of B.Tech programme and locality they belong to.
Registered Candidates will receive an email notification to their registered email id with their application number, password and the link to complete the application form.
Candidates after they receive the notification can begin the process of applying. The last date for applying for Phase 2 of VTUEEE 2020 is 10 April.
Offline
The offline method to apply for VTUEEE 2020 is that candidates have to send a DD for Rs 950 in favour of ‘Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology,’ payable at Chennai, to The Director – UG Admission along with a requisition letter containing the full address of the applicant.
The letter for application along with the DD must be sent to ‘The Director – UG Admission Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology No.42, Avadi-Vel Tech Road, Avadi, Chennai – 600 062, Tamil Nadu, India.’
Candidates can visit the above address personally along with a DD of earlier specified amount and have the application. Filled in application can be sent either through the post or personally submitted at the earlier mentioned address.
Eligibility
The eligibility for applying for VTUEEE 2020 is pass in +2 (or its equivalent). Those appearing for 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination in March/April/May 2020 can appear for VTUEEE 2020.
The subjects must be maths, physics, chemistry in the plus-two.
Exam pattern
VTUEEE 2020 will be held in online and offline modes. The exam has 90 questions totally, maths, physics and chemistry will have 30 questions each. The duration of the exam will be three hours.
The test will be in multiple choice format, where each question will have more than one replies, candidates have to chose the right answer among the choices offered.
The total marks for the exam are 360, right answer will get 4 marks, wrong answer will result in deduction of 1/4 mark.
Points to remember
For the purpose of consideration for award of the Mahatma Gandhi National Merit Scholarship, the State or Union Territory from which the candidate has studied and appeared for the qualifying examination (12th standard examination of the State or Central Board) will be taken as the state to which the candidate belongs, even though the nativity of the candidate may be another State or Union Territory.
