UG NEET 2020 exam results were declared and this year’s registration saw an increase of 5.14%.
The number of candidates who registered for the exam this year stood at 1597435 which 5.14% more than 1519375 registrations which was seen.
Experts keenly watching the education sector in India say the low presence at UG NEET 2020 exam centres could be due to the COVID-19 situation which has been bothering the nation for more than four months now.

This was evident with the fact that on the day of UG NEET 2020 exam, number of candidates absent was 230490, the same last year was at 108620. The number of absenteeism this year stood at 14.43%.
UG NEET 2020 exam this year saw a registration of 716586 boys and 343556 of them qualified for the exam. And, 880843 girls registered for UG NEET 2020 exam and 427943 girls qualified for the exam.
This goes beyond to say that number of girls qualifying in the exam was higher than boys. The number of qualified candidates in UG NEET 2020 exam in the marks range of 720-147 were 682406.
The number of candidates who qualified NEET this year in the mark range of 146-113 stood at 61265. The total number of candidates who qualified UG NEET 2020 exam are 771500.

Post clicking the button and when another page appears, candidates have to provide their NEET exam roll number, their date of birth and enter security pin and press ‘Submit’ button to obtain the result.
Post obtaining the final result of UG NEET 2020 exam, candidates can take a print out of it and preserve it for future purpose.
There is a delightful point to all this, the UG NEET 2020 exam result will be available for download on the official website for about 90 days after they have been released.
Another important point of the whole gamut of things is the relase of cutoff for this year.
As per the cutoff, minimum qualifying percentile of general category candidates is 50 and cutoff marks range is 701-147.
The minimum qualifying percentile for General (physically handicapped) is 45 and cutoff marks range is 146-129.
The minimum qualifying percentile for SC/ST/OBC candidates is 40 and cutoff marks range is 128-113.
And, for physically challenged in the same category, the minimum qualifying percentile is 40 and the cutoff marks is 128-113.
Candidates who have written UG NEET 2020 exam have to ensure they have to ensure that their score is equal to the cutoff or above it.
In case the score of the candidates in UG NEET 2020 is equal to the cutoff or above it, they can move to the next stage.
Students have to remember that the responsibility of National Testing Agency (NTA) ends with conducting the exam and declaring the results.
The results of UG NEET 2020 exam will be handed over to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) which comes under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Government of India.
The counselling will be held at national level for admission to 15 percent all India quota seats and students who have the required cutoff in UG NEET 2020 exam have to attend the counselling.
Medicine study aspirants who have passed the UG NEET 2020 exam with required cutoff have to remember that the counselling by DGHS will begin from last week of October.

Medicine aspirants have to remember that filling of seats under All India quota and by the state government quotas will be done based on UG NEET 2020 exam scores.
All India round counselling will be conducted in two rounds, seats left vacant in the first round will be carried to the second round.
Seats that remain unfilled in the second round of counselling will be transferred to state quota.
The seats which remain vacant in the All India Quota of Deemed Universities/Central Universities/ESIC colleges will be filled in the mop-up round of NEET 2020 counselling.
Registration for first round of counselling for NEET is likely to begin in last week of October. Choice filling of seats will end likely by first week of November for the first round of counselling.
Last date to pay the registration fee in the first round of counselling for all India quota is first week of November likely.
Registration for the second round of counselling in All India quota is likely to take place in second week of November. Choice filling seats starts by third week of November.
Last date to pay registration fee for second round of counselling is third week of November. Registration for mop-up round will begin in second week of December.

The counselling schedule of medical admission in various other states will be issued by the authorities concerned of the respective state.
