Candidates who appeared in Paper-II must submit their preferences during the specified timeframe to be considered for the final merit list and selection.
Key Details About SSC JE 2024 Option-Cum-Preference
- Submission Window:
- The Option-Cum-Preference portal will be open from December 9, 2024 (5:00 PM) to December 13, 2024 (11:59 PM).
- Candidates must log in to the official SSC website: ssc.gov.in to complete the process.
- Steps to Submit Preferences:
- Log in to your account using the ‘Candidate Login’ section on the SSC website.
- Navigate to the My Application Tab to access the Option-Cum-Preference form.
- Select and finalize preferences for posts and organizations under SSC JE 2024.
- A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email ID after successful submission.
- Finalization of Preferences:
- Revisions are allowed only during the submission period, and the last submitted preferences will be considered final.
- Candidates failing to submit preferences within the specified timeline will be excluded from the SSC JE 2024 final merit list and selection process.
Note: Physical submissions of preferences will not be accepted.
Special Instructions for PwBD Candidates
PwBD candidates must:
- Opt for posts suitable for their disabilities as per the guidelines in Para 5.1 of the SSC JE 2024 exam notice.
- Note that candidature will be canceled by the respective organization if a post unsuitable for their disability is selected.

- The allocation of posts will follow the merit-cum-preference principle as outlined in the exam notice.
