Southern Railway Recruitment: Great, TCI for 600 posts
Southern Railway Recruitment is about to happen through a teleconference interview to recruit contract medical practitioners (doctors), nursing staff, lab technician, radiographer, hospital attendant and housekeeping assistant at Divisonal Railway Hospital at Arakkonam on contract basis for a period of maximum three months.
According to sources, a walk in interview was supposed to be held for this Southern Railway Recruitment from 15 to 17 April in Chennai for appointing people for above mentioned posts. However, keeping in view the present coronavirus outbreak and the need to adhere to safety, teleconference interview for appointing people for above mentioned posts.
The vacancy spread
Southern Railway Recruitment drive will fill vacancies for the above mentioned posts. The list of vacancies for each post are 72 for contract medical practitioners, 120 for nursing staff, 24 for lab technician, 24 for radiographer, 120 for hospital assistant and 240 for housekeeping assistant. The total number of vacancies for this Southern Railway Recruitment is 600.
Pay packages
The salary package for these vacancies that will be filled through this Southern Railway Recruitment is Rs 75,000 for contract medical practitioner, it is Rs 95,000 if they are specialists.
Salary for nursing staff is Rs 44,000 in Level-7 plus DA & other allowances admissible, for lab technician the pay is Rs 21,700 in Level-3 plus DA & other allowances admissible, salary for radiographer is Rs 29,200 in Level-5 (plus DA & other allowances admissible.
Salary for hospital attendant is Rs 18000 in Level-1 (plus DA & other allowances admissible and pay package for housekeeping assistant is ₹18000 in Level-1 (plus DA & other allowances admissible.

Qualification

Contract medical practitioner
Applicant must be an MBBS and should be registered with the Indian Medical Council. Two years experience is desirable. Specialization in Anaesthesia/ Physician/Intervisitors will be given preference.
Nursing staff
Applicant must be certified as a registered nurse and a midwife should also have passed three years course in General Nursing and Midwifery from School of Nursing or other Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or B.Sc(Nursing). Applicants with experience in handling ICU/Dialysis Unit/Ventilators are preferrable.
Lab Assistant
Applicant should be a plus-two pass with Science as subject and also must have a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from a recognised university.
Radiographer
Applicants must be a 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry and Diploma in Radiography/X-Ray Technician/Radio diagnosis Technology (2 years course) from recognized institution. Science graduates with Diploma in Radiography/XRay Technician /Radio diagnosis Technology (2 years course) shall be preferred.
Hospital Attendant
Applicant must be a pass in 10th standard and have experience in handling ICU/Dialysis Unit. Candidates with experience in these units will be preferred.
Housekeeping assistant
Candidates should be 10th passed.
Age of the applicants
Age for the applicants for various posts that will be filled through this Southern Railway Recruitment is also given here. Applicants for contract medical practitioner posts must not be more than 50 years as on 1 April 2020.
Age for nursing staff applicants must be between 20 to 40 years, lab assistant applicants must be between 18 to 33 years, radiographer applicants must be 18 to 33 years, hospital attendant applicants’ age must be from 18 to 30 year and housekeeping assistant must be 18 to 30 years of age.
