REET 2025 Exam Updates: New OMR Rules, Marking Scheme, and Exam Dates Announced
The Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (RBSE) has introduced a new OMR rule for Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET 2025) among other changes. According to the REET new OMR rule, the Rajasthan Board has said that the option in a question will be instead of four, 5, and they have also brought negative marking scheme of wrong answers.
If a candidate has opted for an incorrect answer or does not select an answer from the 5 choices, a negative mark will be awarded. Further elaborating, the board said that ⅓ marks out of the total marks awarded to a question will be deducted for every wrong answer.
The REET 2025 exam is conducted at two levels: REET level 1 for aspirants to teach Classes 1 to 5, and REET level 2 for teaching classes from Class 6 to 8. According to the time table, the REET exam is scheduled on February 27. The online registration process of the exam is going to be closed on January 15.
The RBSE has been holding meetings to ensure transparent and smooth conduct of exams. It had earlier announced that the REET application fee for both levels will remain the same as the previous years. Those who will be applying for one paper will have to pay Rs 550 and those registering for both REET level 1 and 2 will have to pay Rs 750. The RBSE officials also discussed allocating nearby exam centres for candidates to ascertain smooth functioning of the exam.
