The names of the vacancies Branch Post Master, Assistant Branch Post Masters and Dak Sevak. The work profile of Branch Post Master (BPM) is to manage affairs of GDS Branch Post Office, India Posts Payments Bank (IPPB) and ensuring uninterrupted counter operation during the prescribed working hours using the handheld device/Smartphone supplied by the Department.
Job responsibility of Assistant Branch Post Master is to take care of all functions of sale of stamps/stationery, conveyance and Delivery of mail at doorstep deposits/payments/other transactions under IPPB, assisting Branch Postmasters in counter duties using the handheld device/Smart phone supplied by the Department.
Dak Sevak’s work responsibility will be to take care of functions like sale of stamps and stationery, conveyance and delivery of mail and any other duties assigned by Postmaster/Sub Postmaster including IPPB work in the Departmental Post Offices/RMS.
Distribution of vacancies
The total of 3951 vacancies are catered across all the categories. Vacancies for Economically weaker sections is 314, OBC is 1000, People with disabilities (A,B,C) is 29, 24 and 9. Vacancies for SCs are 750, STs are 11 and for unreserved the number of vacancies are 1814.
How to apply
The application procedure for the vacancies are to be done online only. Candidates willing to apply must register himself first through the portal

The registration must be done providing basic details like Name (In capital letter as per X class certificate Marks Memo including spaces), Father Name, Mobile Number (Unique for one Registration number), Date of Birth, Gender, Community, PH – Type of Disability – (HH/OH/VH)- Percentage of disability, State in which Xth class passed, Board in which Xth class passed, Year of Passing Xth class, Xth Class Certificate Number/Roll Number (optional)
Post Master Dak Sevak vacancies – After the registration is over, the registration number must be obtained. Once this is done, the process of application can commence. Mobile number mapping is mandatory for Registration. Once Registered the same mobile number will not be allowed for further Registrations of any other candidates also.
Payment of fee
Applicant of category OC/OBC/EWS Male should pay a fee of Rs 100 for each set of five options. Candidate who requires to make the payment has to visit any Head Post Office or other identified Post Offices in India.
