PGIMER Exam 2020: Great, register till 6 May
PGIMER Exam 2020, last date for registration of PGIMER exam has been extended till 6 May from its earlier planned 26 April. The extension is done due to the COVID-19 situation in the country.
About the exam
Postgraduate Insitute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh conducts Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research Entrance Exam (PGIMER) to provide admission into MD/MS and DM/M.Ch and DM Hospital Administrative courses.
The exam is national level one and is conducted twice a year. PGIMER exam is conducted in January and July. While PGIMER Exam 2020 of January is already held, the same for July is about to be conducted.
MD/MS/MD (Hospital Administration) Course
Applicants trying to join this course through PGIMER Exam 2020 must be a pass in MBBS from a college, university recognised by Medical Council of India (MCI).
Applicants targeting this course through PGIMER Exam 2020 must have completed internship training for a period of one year before 31 December/30 June. Applicants must also be registered under State or Central Medical Registration Council.
DM/M.Ch Course
Candidates trying to apply this course through PGIMER Exam 2020 must have passed MD/MS or equivalent qualification recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
They must also be registered with either State or Central Medical Registration Council. Applicants must be in the prescribed age limit as on or before 31 December and 30 June for January and July session respectively.
Important dates
The important dates for PGIMER Exam 2020 with regards to MD/MS course is that the application registration date began on 17 March and last date is 6 May. Last date to pay the required fee is also 6 May. The PGIMER Exam 2020 date for MD/MS course is 23 May.
Last date to apply for DM/M.Ch/MD (Hospital Administration) is 6 May, registration has begun on 1 April. PGIMER Exam 2020 with regards to these courses will be held on 7 June.

Registration can be done providing information like name, date of birth, age, email id, mobile number. Using the user name and pass word obtained during registration, candidates can start applying for PGIMER Exam 2020.
The photo being uploaded during PGIMER Exam 2020 registration process must be shot on or before 1 March 2020. Post registration, applicants must pay the required fee and submit the application finally.
The print out of the final copy of the application for PGIMER Exam 2020 must be taken and kept for future use.
