The process after the exam is counselling which takes place in two phases – national level (All India Quota) and state level (state quota).
Students wishing to study medicine in central government educational institutions can apply for the national level for which counselling will be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
Individuals willing to seek a seat in the state quota can apply for counselling along with their NEET UG scores on the website of the medical admission counselling authorities of their respective states.
Counselling will likely be conducted in more than one round and students who don’t get a seat in the institute of their choice can try in the subsequent rounds.
Those who get a seat can convey their acceptance and pay the fees and join the classes as per the instructions.
There is more to it than meets the eye, students must remember that things do not end with getting admission into medical courses. Candidates have to work hard to sustain success.
Hard work with determination has helped them taste success and this was evident in NEET UG 2023 results. The same thing (hard work with determination) must go on if the students have to pass their MBBS exams with good scores which is essential for moving to a higher level of learning in medical sciences.
