NEET SS 2020: Can submit applns for the great exam till 23 August
NEET SS 2020 also known as NEET Super Speciality course exam 2020 will be conducted on 15 September.
A press release by National Board of Examinations (NBE) mentioned that NEET SS 2020 will be conducted on online mode at various centres located across the country on the above mentioned date.
NBE also utilizes the merit generated through NEET SS 2020 for admissions to its DNB superspecialty courses.
The registration for the NEET SS 2020 has been opened on 3 August onwards, applications can be submitted till 11:55 pm of 23 August.
The edit window for making corrections to all applicants of NEET SS 2020 shall be kept open from 24 to 25 August.
Window to undertake corrections with regards to self photograph of the applicant, images of signature and thumb impression can be done from 2 to 3 September.
The admit card for NEET SS 2020 shall be released on 7 September. The results for NEET SS 2020 shall be declared by 25 September.
While students write NEET SS 2020 exam to obtain seats in super speciality courses in the field of medicine, information about availability of seats in these courses and its counseling procedure and the related dates can be obtained from the official websites of MCC ‘www.mcc.nic.in’ and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (Government of India) ‘www.mohfw.gov.in’
Applicants can also email MCC for the required information to ‘mccsuperspeciality@gmail.com’ This will provide information using which candidates of NEET SS 2020 can prepare themselves effectively.
The eligibility criteria for applying for NEET SS 2020 is the candidates must be having post graduate medical degree or a provisional pass certificate (MD/MS/DNB) or its equivalent recognised qualifiation.
Applicants of NEET SS 2020 must ensure that they must be in possession of the qualification on or before 25 September this year.
The candidates who are to going to get the result of their qualifying exam post 25 September cannot request to write NEET SS 2020 exam.
Applicants for NEET SS 2020 must also be having a registeration with Medical Council of India (MCI) or the respective State Medical Council.
Documentary proof of the registration must be produced on the day of NEET SS 2020 exam. Foreign nationals can also write NEET SS 2020 provided they obtain registration with MCI.

MCI will grant foreign nationals registration on payment of prescribed fee.
Only foreign nationals who have a valid registration from the authority of his country from where he obtained his post graduate medical degree will be alloted temporary registration.
This registration is however temporary and is restricted to the institution where the foreign candidate is admitted to.
The NEET SS 2020 will have 40 percent of the questions from eligible feeder broad speciality courses for super speciality courses and remaining 60 percent shall be from the super speciality course selected by the candidate at the time of filling the application form for NEET SS 2020.
Part A will have 40 questions related to feeder broad speciality courses for super speciality courses.
For example, The eligible feeder broad specialties for super specialty course in Cardiology are General
Medicine, Pediatrics and Respiratory Medicine.
Therefore, Part -A of Cardiology question paper shall comprise of questions from all the three feeder broad specialty courses i.e. General Medicine, Pediatrics and Respiratory Medicine.
Part B of the exam will have 60 questions which will be purely related to the super speciality chosen by the applicant.
The total number of questions is 100 and each correct answer will fetch 4 marks, while a single wrong answer will lead to deduction of one mark.
Candidates have to remember that applying for NEET SS can be done through online only.
Applicants must visit the website of National Board of Examinations (NBE) at ‘https://www.nbe.edu.in/’ and click the button ‘NEET-SS’ written in white colour amidst blue background.
Post download of the website after the click of the required button applicants must register themselves to obtain User ID and password.
After obtaining them, applicants can begin applying for NEET SS. The examination fee to be paid while applying for NEET SS 2020 is Rs 4425 (which comprises Rs 3,750 as exam fee and Rs 675 as GST).
The fee for the exam can be paid through net banking, debit card or credit card.
Once the application is filled and finally submitted, the subsequent confirmation page must that downloads can be saved and kept for future use.
The results for NEET SS exam will be published on official websites namely ‘www.natboard.edu.in’ and ‘www.nbe.edu.in’
Candidates can call NBA at the above mentioned phone number from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday from 3 to 25 September.
The same number of NBA can be called on the day of the exam (15 September) from 7 am to 7 pm. NBE will remain closed on Saturdays, Sundays and other gazetted holidays.
