NEET MDS 2024 registration to open soon, Exam on 18 March 2024
NEET MDS 2024 registration may start soon at ‘https://nbe.edu.in/’ and the exam will be conducted on 18 March 2024.
The exam was to be tentatively conducted on 9 February 2024 as per the schedule planned earlier. Now that has been changed to 18 March 2024.
A notification issued by NBEMS (National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences) has said this in a notification dated 20 January 2024.
The cutoff date for the purpose of eligibility to appear in NEET MDS 2024 shall be 31 March 2024.
Students who wish to study postgraduation in dental sciences can aim for the NEET MDS 2024 registration.
The date for conducting the test has been announced and next thing after that would be submitting applications.
The usual trend is to open the application submission process about a month or two before the exam day.
Taking that into account, it could mean, the NEET MDS 2024 registration will likely be opened in the last phase of January or first phase of February 2024.

What is NEET MDS?
NEET MDS is expanded into National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Master in Dental Surgery (NEET MDS).
It is conducted once every year for providing admission into postgraduate dental courses in colleges located across India.
NEET MDS 2024 is meant to be held in 2024 and is conducted by National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). NEET MDS 2024 registration nothing but applying for the exam.
Who can take up NEET MDS 2024 registration?
Candidates who have passed graduation in dental sciences (BDS) from a recognized educational institution anywhere in India can take up NEET MDS 2024 registration.
Applicants must also have completed the required internship (CRI or CRRI) and have the required registration with DCI (Dental Council of India) or State Dental Councils.

2. Once the website is ready, candidates can click the button NEET MDS under Entrance Examinations menu.
3. Clicking the above button will open another webpage with URL ‘https://natboard.edu.in/viewnbeexam?exam=neetmds’
4. Once the webpage with above URL opens, candidates can click the registration link and create an account.
5. After the account is created, candidates can log in and take up NEET MDS 2024 registration.
Registration fee
Candidates taking up NEET MDS 2024 registration have to pay Rs 4250 if they are from General, OBC and EWS categories. The same for those from SC/ST/PwD categories is Rs 3250.
The amount mentioned above can change due to various reasons, candidates can refer the information brochure on the official website mentioned above at the time of registration for latest information.
The link for it will be activated at the appropriate time on the official website. The link will turn active about 10 or 20 days before the exam day. It can be downloaded as per the instructions below:
1. Type the URL ‘https://natboard.edu.in/viewnbeexam?exam=neetmds’ in the browser and submit it for allowing it to download.
2. Once the website is ready, the link for admit card has to be clicked.
3. After clicking the link, candidates have to enter their application number, date of birth and other details and submit them to obtain the hall ticket.
Candidates can appear for the exam with their hall tickets.
They have to pass the exam with required qualifying marks to be eligible for the next phase of admission which comprises counselling.
Counselling is the phase where candidates can choose the course and the college they wish to study it.
Those who do not get a seat in college of their choice in the initial rounds, can try in the subsequent rounds. Individuals who get a seat can pay the fees and join the institution for classes.
