MPSC AMVI syllabus is out
MPSC AMVI syllabus is out – There is good news for candidates who have applied for Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC)’s Assistant Motor Vehcile Inspector (AMVI) recruitment exam. The syllabus for the exam has been released. Candidates can go to the website ‘Link‘ and know about syllabus and exam pattern.
The registration for the exam was recently conducted and the date of the exam is 24 March this year. Admit cards for the same exam are likely to be released by second week of March this year. Candidates can provide details like application number, register number and password and download the admit card. Candidates who have applied for the exam can be browse the website of MPSC for updates on downloading the admit card.
Candidates can carry admit card along with the authorized documents like Aadhar Card, PAN card, Voter ID when they attend the exam. Candidates have to write prelims, attend mains exam after that and then finally have to face the interview round for getting selected for the post of AMVI.
Mains will have questions related to mechanical engineering, automobile engineering and candidates will have a time of 1 hour 30 minutes to answer all the questions. Marks for mains are 300. Questions related to Mirror Images, Grouping Identical Figures.
Figure Matrix Questions, Problem on Age Calculation, Decision Making, Inference Analogy, NonVerbal Series, Test of Direction Sense, Number Series, Alphabet Series, Arguments, Ven Diagram, Blood Relations, Coding and Decoding, Number Ranking and Arithmatical Reasoning in ‘Reasoning’ section of Prelims Exam.
Questions regarding Science and Technology, Indian Polity, History – India & World, Cultural Heritage of India, Indian Economy, Socio-Economic Events, Geography – India, Current Events – National & International, Indian Constitution and General Science will appear in ‘General Studies’ section of prelims exam.
Mechanical Engineering section of Prelims exam will have questions from Engineering Mechanics Engineering Materials, Mechanisms and Machines Fluid Mechanics, IC Engines, Refrigeration and Air conditioning, Turbo Machinery, Thermodynamics and Heat transfer, Power Plant Engineering, Renewable Sources of Energy, Design of Machine Elements, Manufacturing Industrial and Maintenance Engineering Mechatronics and Robotics.

Vehicle Maintenance, Automobile Systems, Transport Management will be the subjects based on which questions will be asked in ‘Automobile Engineering’ section of prelims exam. The mains exam will have Section-A which will cover Mechanical and Automobile engineering, Section-B which will comprise topics related to Mechanical Engineering, Section-B which will have Automobile Engineering topics.
Topics for Section A questions will be related to Strength of Materials, Mechanical Technology Theory of Machines, Hydraulics, Thermal Engineering, Automobile Engines, Industrial Electronics. Section-B questions will be Hydraulic Machinery, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Industrial Engineering. Questions regarding Automobile Systems, Vehicle Maintenance, Transport Management will appear in Section C. The questions will be of objective type.
