The mains exam will have Section-A which will cover Mechanical and Automobile engineering, Section-B which will comprise topics related to Mechanical Engineering, Section-B which will have Automobile Engineering topics.

Topics for Section A questions will be related to Strength of Materials, Mechanical Technology Theory of Machines, Hydraulics, Thermal Engineering, Automobile Engines, Industrial Electronics. Section-B questions will be Hydraulic Machinery, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Industrial Engineering. Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad) has completed the cluster 2 summer placements for the postgraduate management programmes class of 2026. Altogether, 53 roles in various profiles were offered to the PGP students. Mahindra’s ‘Conglomerates’ cohort and Amazon’s’ Retail e-commerce’ cohort turned out to be the largest recruiters, making eight offers each.

The institute said that cluster 2 of the IIM Ahmedabad summer placement 2024-25 consisted of 7 cohorts namely conglomerates, retail B2B and retail e-commerce, consumer goods, consumer durables, pharmaceuticals and health care.

In the consumer service cohort, Airtel was the largest recruiter with 3 offers. Along with regular recruiters such as Aditya Birla Group, CK Birla Group, JSW Group, and Tata Administrative Services, participation of firms visiting for the first time in summers increased this year through GMR Group, Bharti Enterprises, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Bharat Serum Vaccine, Michelin India, Sony, Welspun Living, United Breweries (Heineken), Zydus Wellness.

In the new recruiters category, Bharti Enterprises offered jobs for its group treasury, M&A and corporate finance teams and a new-age startup Trampoline Store made 2 offers for its founder’s office role.
