The MahaDBT Scholarship portal, formerly known as Aaple Sarkar DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer), is a government effort that provides many social welfare services, including e-scholarships, to students of all backgrounds in Maharashtra. The primary purpose of the MahaDBT portal is to enable the proper distribution and administration of about 45 scholarships for students residing in Maharashtra. Fresh student enrollment for the Maha DBT Scholarship 2023 began on October 11, 2023, and will continue until January 31, 2024.  

The Maharashtra government just created a new platform for MahaDBT Scholarships, mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in, to make it easier for students to fill out their scholarship applications. To earn benefits based on caste and category through the MahaDBT portal, all students must register and obtain a MahaDBT Scholarship login ID and password. The MahaDBT portal is also used for direct benefit transfers under the MahadbtFarmer and Pension plans. How to Apply for MahaDBT Scholarship 2023?

Students interested in applying for MahaDBT scholarships should follow the steps outlined below.

• First, visit the official portal, mahadbtmahait.gov.in. Then, on the home page, select the ‘new applicant registration’ link.
• Next, enter your Aadhaar card number in the required space. You will then receive a one-time password via your registered mobile number. To verify your number, enter the OTP in the supplied field and then continue.
• Once authenticated, your entire registration information will be displayed on the screen. If you don’t have an Aadhaar card, you can fill out all of the relevant information manually.
• Next, create a unique username and password for the MahaDBT scholarship 2023. Enter and verify your mobile number and password.
• Now, log in to the MahaDBT portal and enter your credentials. Complete the captcha that appears on your screen.
• Your scholarship dashboard will show you all of the available scholarships. Select the one you want to apply for.
• Fill in all of the essential information, such as your bank account information, educational qualifications, residence, and more. Also, provide scanned copies of any required documents.
• Finally, on the login dashboard, click the ‘apply’ button and you’re done!

MahaDBT Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The MahaDBT portal offers 45 scholarships to students in Maharashtra, with different eligibility requirements for each. Below are the essential conditions for applying for MahaDBT scholarships.

• Candidates must be domiciled in Maharashtra.
• They must have completed 10+2 with at least 60% marks.
• The family income restriction should correspond to the scholarship for which the applicant is applying.

How to Redeem the MahaDBT Scholarship?

Candidates who are chosen for the MahaDBT scholarship will receive a link to redeem the scholarship by SMS or email. Here are the processes for redeeming the scholarship.

• Click on the URL provided and log in with your credentials.
• Visit “my applied schemes” and select the redeem status option.
• Now, click the Redeem button. 

How to Renew the MahaDBT Scholarship?

To be eligible for the Maha DBT scholarship, students must have passed their previous examinations. If a student fails, they will not get any additional scholarship payments. To renew the scholarship, take the following steps:

• Log in to the MahaDBT site with your username and password.
• Next, go to Mahadbtmahait.gov and pick the current course option, then add the new year or semester.
• Include your past qualifications.
• Upload any relevant papers, such as your mark sheet and hostel information.
• Select the current scheme.
• Clicking “Yes” confirms that you want to renew your Mahadbt scholarship application form.
• Finally, submit the MahaDBT scholarship form.
