Candidates from other backward classes (OBC) and economically weaker sections (EWS) must pay Rs 900, while candidates from scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), transgender, and persons with disabilities (PwD) with 40% disability must pay Rs 700 to register for the JKSET 2024.
The institute will launch the JKSET 2024 application correction window from July 29 to July 31. The JKSET 2024 admission card is expected to be issued on October 14. The JKSET exam is used to verify candidates’ eligibility for assistant professor positions in universities and colleges in the Union Territories of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh.
JKSET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should review the JKSET eligibility requirements before applying for the exam.
- Candidates must have received at least 55% or an equivalent grade in their master’s degree or equivalent test from UGC-accredited institutions.
- Candidates who have taken or will take the qualifying master’s degree exam and whose results are still pending will be admitted provisionally and conferred eligibility for assistant professor upon passing the master’s degree exam.
- PhD degree holders who finished their master’s degree test by September 19, 1991, are permitted a 5% reduction in aggregate scores for taking the JKSET exam.
- Transgender applicants are eligible for the same fee and age concessions as SC, ST, and PWD candidates.
