Induction programme at NIT AP gives a great welcome
Induction programme at NIT AP for the incoming 1st year BTech students will be conducted in online mode from 15 to 24 December. The event would extend a warm welcome for the incoming batch of students admitted for the academic year 2021-22.
The batch will pursue the revised curriculum as per National Educational Policy 2020. The online classes for BTech students will be commenced from 27 December 2021 immediately after the induction programme at NIT AP.

Ø To improve creative learning, bonding with students and teachers
Ø To familiarize the students with the rules, regulations, and culture of the Institution
Ø To improve students listening, writing, and communication skills in English
Ø Problem solving techniques with mathematics, learning by doing, and stress relieving
Ø To adapt themselves to the changing market conditions, real-world problems, etc
The students are encouraged to study the interdisciplinary courses and carry out innovative projects, he said speaking at the induction programme at NIT AP.
The Institute provides a wonderful platform to practice extra curriculum and co-curriculum activities during the comfortable students stay at the campus, he said during the induction programme at NIT AP.

Speaking further at induction programme at NIT AP he said the students aim not only for placements but also to be part of the national building from inspirational efforts of great leaders of the country.
They should explore the opportunities with entrepreneurship and start-ups in students’ lives. The students are advised to utilize the campus facilities and improve communication skills, said Professor Rao at induction programme at NIT AP.

Hybrid mode
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions, the induction programme at NIT AP was held in hybrid mode. Dr Veeresh Kumar G.B., Dean (Student Affairs), NIT Andhra Pradesh, welcomed the gathering and spoke about the induction programme at NIT AP.

National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh is an ‘Institute of National Importance’ and is the 31st institution among the chain of NITs started by the Government of India.
NIT Andhra Pradesh is established in the State of Andhra Pradesh during the academic year 2015-16. A new campus has been established with 172.6 acres of land adjacent to Chennai-Kolkata Highway (NH-16) in the air-strip lands of Tadepalligudem. Presently the institute is fully running from the permanent campus.
NIT Andhra Pradesh offers B.Tech. programmes in eight engineering branches – Bio-Technology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering besides M.Tech. programme in eight specializations.
The Institute also offers Ph.D. (both under Full-time and Part-time modes) programmes in the above-mentioned engineering branches, Sciences, Humanities and Management, viz., Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English and Management, and M.S. (by Research) programme in the above-mentioned eight engineering branches.
NIT Andhra Pradesh has a total of140 Faculty members and 2,657 students, of whom2,299 are undergraduate students, 100 are postgraduate students and 288 are PhD Research Scholars.
