Online instruction is provided, and exams are administered in person at 150 locations. In 2020, the Bachelor of Science degree in Data Science and Applications was introduced, allowing students to attend IIT Madras without taking the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

According to IIT Madras, almost 2,500 alumni of the curriculum have been hired or promoted within the past four years. The cost waiver is being provided by businesses like Verizon, Renault Nissan, HSBC, Tata AIA, Sutherland, LTTS, L&T Thales, Dun & Bradstreet, Walmart, and others as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) support. Over 3,645 students have benefited from these services, enabling them to concentrate solely on their studies and not let monetary concerns hold them back,” IIT Madras said.

The world’s first 4-year Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Data Science and Applications is offered by India’s premier technical university, IIT Madras. VITEEE 2025 Registration Fees

Students have to pay Rs 1350 as fee while taking up VITEEE 2025 application submission. The application form can be submitted after paying the registration fee.

Admit card

Candidates who have completed their VITEEE 2025 application submission successfully alone can download the admit card for appearing for the exam. The process to download the admit card is mentioned below for the sake of the students:

After VITEEE 2025 application submission

Students have to appear for the exam and pass it with required qualifying marks to be eligible for participating in the counselling process.

VITEEE for B.E/B.Tech programs will have a total of 125 questions constituting 125 marks. The no. of questions is given as Mathematics/Biology-40 questions, Physics-35 questions, Chemistry-35 questions, Aptitude-10 questions and English-5 questions.

Vellore Institute of Technology will conduct VITEEE 2025 exam for 2 hours and 30 minutes duration.

All the questions shall be multiple choice type; each correct answer shall have one mark and there is no negative marking for incorrect ones. 

Candidates who are wishing to take up science oriented courses have to attempt questions related to maths, physics and chemistry.

Those keen on biology or biotechnology oriented engineering courses have to attempt questions from biology, physics and chemistry. English and Aptitude questions are compulsory along with maths/biology, physics and chemistry.

Such candidates will not get any chance to attend the counselling process. Out of the total 125 questions, the sections include mathematics/biology (40), physics (35), chemistry (35), aptitude (10), and English (5).

Post preparation

Candidates have to appear for VITEEE 2025 and then pass it with required qualifying marks to be eligible for the next phase of the admission process.

The phase after written exam is counselling, those who have passed the written exam with required qualifying marks can take part in the counselling where candidates get to choose the college and course they wish to study.

Counselling is usually conducted in more than one round, those who get a seat in the initial rounds can pay the fees and join the classes.

Students who don’t get a seat in the first round can try in the subsequent rounds. Selection of candidates will be done on criteria like performance in the qualifying exam, performance in the written test, availability of seats in each course, demand for each course, choice of the candidates.
