ICG invites applications for Yantrik posts – Candidates aspiring to be a part of the defence establishment of our country have a happy news. Indian Coast Guard has invited applications for the post of Yantrik. The number of vacancies is 37, say sources. The details about the vacancies are 19 posts of Yantrik Technical (Mechanical), three posts of Yantrik Technical (Electrical) and 15 posts of Yantrik Technical (Electronics and Telecommunication).
Candidates can begin applying online from 16 March onwards by visiting the website ‘www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in’ and clicking the ‘Oppurtunities’ button there. A five percent relaxation in above minimum cut off will be provided for SC/ST candidates and outstanding sports person of national level who have obtained first, second or third position in any sports events at the national or international level.
The candidates willing to apply for the post should have minimum height of 157 cms. Chest should have a minimum expansion of 5 cms. Weight of the candidate should be proportionate to height with respect to their age and height, a plus of 10 percent weight is acceptable.
The candidates must have a vision of 624 without glasses and 6/9 and 6/12 with glasses for better eye and worse eye respectively. The age limit of the candidates must be 18 years (minimum) and 22 years (maximum). The candidates must be born between 1 August 1998 and 31 July 2002.
Sources say admit cards will be available till download 9 to 16 April this year. And, date of exam is tentatively in April or May this year. The results link will be made available at appropriate time after the exams are conducted.
