IAF recruitment 2020: Apply for great Airmen post till 30 Nov

IAF recruitment 2020 is for appointing Airmen in Group Y (Non-Technical trades) except Automobile Technician, Indian Air Force (Police), Indian Air Force (Security) and musician trade.

Indian or Nepalese candidates beloging to the state of Tamil Nadu, Union Territory of Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands can take part in this IAF recruitment 2020.

The pre-registration for taking part in IAF recruitment can be done from 11 am to 27 November to 5 pm of 28 November.

Eligibility
Candidates willing to take part in this IAF recruitment 2020 must be a male candidate and must be unmarried and must be born between 17 January 2000 and 30 December 2003 (both days inclusive).

Candidates targeting IAF recruitment 2020 for Group ‘Y’ Trades (except Auto Tech, IAF (P), IAF(S) and Musician Trades) must have passed plus-two exam with a minimum pass percentage of 50.

Candidates targeting this post in IAF recruitment 2020 must also be having 50 percent pass marks in English language paper in plus-two exam.

Candidates who have also passed two years vocational course from Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational course or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course can also apply for this post in IAF recruitment.

Applicants targeting this IAF recruitment 2020 must be natives of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The educational institutions they have studied their qualifying exam must be in the jurisdiction of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Even those who are discharged from Army or Navy or any other government organisation can also apply provided they produce the discharge certificate given by their respective organisation.

Medical standards
The medical standards of candidates willing to appear for IAF recruitment 2020 are given below:

Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm

Weight: Proportionate to height and age.

Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) shall not be acceptable.
Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing, i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.

Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.

General Health: Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages.

He should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection and skin ailments.

Candidate must be physically and mentally fit to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

Post choosing the option candidates can find the button ‘New User/Register’ right below the boxes for typing user name and password.

Clicking the New User/Register candidates can begin registering to obtain username and password.

Post obtaining them, they can use the same at the above mentioned url to login and start applying for IAF recruitment 2020.

Candidates must visit the above said urls by 11 am on 27 November and take up the registration and fill the application form for this IAF recruitment 2020.

The application forms can be filled till 5 pm of 28 November.

The method of selection
The method of selection for this IAF recruitment 2020 shall comprise a physical fitness test and candidates who pass that will write the written test and those who qualify the written test will appear for two adaptability tests.

Post these adaptability tests, medical test will be conducted on those who pass adaptability tests.

Needless to say, candidates who come out of the written test with flying colours will be selected.

Physical Test: This part of IAF recruitment 2020 consists of a 1.6 km run to be completed within 6 minutes 30 seconds.

Candidates shall also have to complete 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups and 20 squats within the stipulated time to qualify in the physical fitness test.

Written Test: This part of IAF recruitment 2020 will comprise objective type and question paper shall be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English paper.

Answers are to be annotated on OMR sheet.

Detailed procedure shall be explained before conduct of the examination.

Duration of the written test will be 45 minutes and shall comprise of English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).

Candidates have to qualify in each paper seperately. Every correct answer will have one mark, wrong answer will have deduction of 0.25 marks.

Adaptability tests: These tests are conducted to see how candidates adapt themselves to defence way of life and how well they can become a part of any terrair where they are posted and start working.

(A) Print out copy of provisional admit card for recruitment rally.

(B) HB pencil, eraser, sharpener, glue stick, stapler and black/blue ball point pen for writing.

(C) Seven un-attested recent (taken not before November 2020) passport size colour photographs (front portrait in light background without head gear
except for sikhs).

The photograph is to be taken with candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest with his name and date of photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters.

(D) Original and four self-attested photocopies of matriculation passing certificate (required for date of birth verification).

(E) Original and four self-attested photocopies of matriculation mark sheets (Only applicable for two years vocational course holder when English is not a subject in Vocational course)

(F) Original and four self-attested photocopies of Intermediate/10+2/ equivalent examination passing certificate and marks sheet OR original and four self-attested photocopies of two years vocational course passing certificate and mark sheets of all semesters.

(G) Original and four self-attested photocopies of domicile certificate (or) original and four self-attested photocopies of duly filled son of Air Force Personnel (SOAFP) certificate (format available on AFNET CASB webpage) for sons of serving air force personnel (or) original and four self-attested
photocopies of service book/discharge book/causality service certificate/service particular certificate (issued from DPO-3/DAV, as applicable) in case of officer/airmen/NCs(E) and a certificate duly signed by OIC Civil Admin and countersigned by CO/C Adm O of the last served unit, in case of civilians for sons of retired/deceased/discharged air force personnel and proof of minimum stay of one year as per Para 5 (d) above.

(H) Candidates discharged from Indian Army/Indian Navy/Any other Government Organisation. Original and four self-attested photocopies of discharge certificate (as issued from Indian Army/Indian Navy/Government Organisation).

(J) NOC in original and four self-attested photocopies from the employer for candidates presently serving in any Govt. organization (if applicable).

(K) Original and four self-attested photocopies of NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate (if applicable).
