Higher education India 2020: Uncertainty bothers
Higher education India 2020, this is an area where uncertainty is ruling the roost as of now. The main reason behind this is the outbreak of coronavirus. The spread of virus has sent entire nation into a lock down.
The affects of the lock down are being felt on our economy, people are forced to lose their earnings as they are remaining indoors, daily wage earners, migrant workers the ones most troubled now.
Now the biggest point bothering everyone’s mind is when will these exams be held. It is not easy, answers may not be available as of now, but sooner the answers are available the better it is.
Experts in the field of higher learning in India feel things would not be easy as of now. Post lock down, the biggest challenge will be to conduct host of exams that have been postponed, says T.S. Ramamurthy, a Physics lecturer.
The point lies in ensuring that schedule of one exam does not clash with each other, this is no easy task to do. Whatever we have seen so far with regards to Higher education India 2020 will not be forgotten so soon.
Higher education in India has been smooth in the past years, with regards to Higher education India 2020, things seem to be quite different. It is not only for students, even governments too must be bothered with the same question.

The biggest question in front of us is when will the lock down end? If lock down ends soon, the things can begin working in the right direction. But as of now, nothing is known as to when the closure is going to end, says S. Jyothsna, an engineering student.
It is perhaps because of this kind of uncertainty that there is a need for contingency plan, says P. Ashok Kumar, mechanical engineering faculty. The biggest issue as far as Higher education India 2020 is concerned is conducting of exam, reminds Ashok Kumar.
The committee constituted by UGC is said to be looking into ways and means through which exams can be conducted by going through the existing rules and regulations of UGC.
What perhaps makes Higher education India 2020 unique is the point that this time the impact is being felt on placements also. Nothing of this sort has happened in the previous years.
IITs and IIMs are said to have been getting prepared to face job withdrawal situations. A popular foreign company is said to have already withdrawn its job offers made to students.
The popular educational institutions are said to have kept contingency plans ready in case if more companies decide to take back their offers. Many of the educational institutions are even informing their students to be prepared for a situation like offer withdrawal.
However, not all sections are considering the situation as worrisome. This is just temporary, once the intensity of the coronavirus goes down, things will start getting back to normal, says T. Devidas, a higher education consultant.
What makes people worry is the feeling that these kind of problems may last longer. The uncertainity in the present context is also fuelling the worries for many.
Academics is not an easy affair, losing so much in the one year will have its reflections in the next year, says K. Deepak, a medical student.
Matters may not be that easy as of now. Things are more worrisome for candidates trying to make an entry into Higher education India 2020 through various modes. M. Kapil Rao, a plus-two student is one of them.
I have plans to write JEE Main 2020 and also EAMCET, the present situation have left no other option but to stare at the future blank for students like him. We donot know when will the exams be scheduled. ‘We can’t say anything now, the way things may turnup post lock down, it may perhaps not be possible for candidates like me to attend both the exams. God forbid, that kind of things should not happen.’
This is another reason why Higher education India 2020 stands unique. Students in the previous years did not grapple with situations like this.
While uncertainty continues to rule Higher education India 2020, one can hope for things taking a turn for the positive soon.
