CSAB counselling: Registration on great November 28
CSAB counselling registration for filling vacant seats in NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs (except IITs) will commence on November 28. The registration would begin after all the seat filling rounds of JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) are over.
The seat vacancies in the NITs, IIITs and GFTIs after completion of the JoSAA seat filling process is over will be announced on 27 November. Post announcement of vacancies, the CSAB registration will be opened on 28 November.
Candidates seeking admission into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs (except IITs) can take up CSAB registration till 30 November. Seat aspirants have to complete CSAB registration, payment of participation fee/processing fee and choice filling from 28 to 30 November in the first round of CSAB counselling.
Post CSAB registration, candidates can choose the course and the institute where they want to study it. Students can exercise their choice keeping in mind the availability of the course and its respective number of seats in that particular institutions.

The display of seat allotment result for first special round will take place on 2 December. Based on the result obtained in the first special round students can either accept the seat or surrender the seat and take part in the second round of CSAB counselling from 5 pm of 2 December to 12 pm of 4 December.
The last date to respond to query is 2 pm of 5 December. Students who did not get a seat in first special round can take part in the second round of CSAB counselling.
Those who wish to take part in the second round of CSAB counselling can likely login with help of their credentials obtained while taking up CSAB registration for participating in the first special round and then exercise their choice of their institution and course they wish to study there.

Students, if required, may have to take up CSAB registration again before taking part in the second special round. The result of seat allotment for second special round will be displayed on 7 December.
The last date to send response for the query asked in the second special round is 5 pm of 9 December. Candidates who have confirmed their seat during the first and second rounds of CSAB counselling can visit the institutions where they have got seat allotted from 10 am of 7 December to 5 pm of 13 December.
The remaining of the fee can be paid by the candidates at the institutes where they got seats during the above mentioned duration.
CSAB counselling and PwD candidates
This year PwD (differently abled) candidates would be allowed a long duration along with the choice for selection of institute where they would like to report for physical verification of their PwD status vis-a-vis the information mentioned in the documents uploaded by the candidates during special rounds of CSAB counselling.
Physical verification process starts from November 28 and will continue through the special rounds of CSAB counselling.
Candidates have to remember that before they come for physical verification of documents they have to register themselves for CSAB counselling on the CSAB portal.
They can choose the time (afternoon or forenoon) and the centre where they wish to report for verification while registering for the counselling itself.
Candidates have to ensure that they plan their travel such that the physical verification of documents is complete by last day of the CSAB counselling round in which they are allotted a seat.
