CBSE 2020 Exams, schools in each district that are affiliated to CBSE will be fixed as nodal examination centres for conducting the pending board exams.
Candidates who have shifted to another district owing to COVID-19 situation will be able to write their pending CBSE 2020 Exams in these nodal exam centres.
Notification further says, students who have moved to another locality owing to COVID-19 situation can make a request to change their exam centre.
Students who are were residing in hostels, students being sponsored by state governments can also make a request for change in exam centre.
Added to this, even private candidates who have moved to other districts are also eligible to make changes to their exam centre with regards to CBSE 2020 Exams.
CBSE has mentioned that change of exam centre will be allowed only in the district to which the candidate has shifted to and in which CBSE is having affiliated schools.
Examination centre for CBSE 2020 Exams will not be allowed in containment zones. For those students whose schools come in containment zone, exam centres will be allotted outside the containment zone.
It will be the responsibility of the schools to contact their students and know wether they have shifted to any other districts and ask whether they would opt for a change in the exam centre with regards CBSE 2020 Exams.
Schools will notify all the details on the ‘e-Pariksha’ on CBSE website for providing the desired information.
Schools have to ensure that all the requests they have received with regards to change in exam centre for CBSE 2020 Exams in pending subjects are uploaded in e-Pariksha portal correctly.
All the requests for change in the exam centre have to be uploaded in one lot. After submission the link will be closed and will not open again.
Even students who have shifted to other districts have to come forward and tell their respective schools that they have shifted to another district.
So that the processing of their request for change in exam centre for CBSE 2020 Exams can take place at the appropriate time.
Schools can contact their students for confirmation of change in exam centre from 3 to 9 June. Candidates can also make requests to their schools with regards to exam centre changes for CBSE 2020 Exams from 3 to 9 June.
Schools can upload the details about the requests for change in examination centre from 3 to 11 June. Private candidates can apply for change in exam centre from 3 to 11 June.
Information regarding change of examination centre by CBSE will be uploaded on 16 June. Schools can communicate to the candidates about the change in examination centre from 16 to 18 June.
Private candidates can download permission letter from 16 June to 5 pm of 20 June. Schools can download the centre material and list of candidates using school login id at e-Pariksha portal from 16 June onwards.
CBSE also reminds that the districts namely South Salmara in Assam, Chota Udaipur and Gir Somnath in Gujarat, Bandipora, Ramban and Shopian in Jammu and Kashmir, Kamjong, Noney, Pherzawal and Thengnoupal in Manipur, North Garo Hills, South West Khasi Hills and West Jaintia Hills in Meghalaya, Hnahthial and Saitual in Mizoram, Noklak in Nagaland and Tirupattur in Tamil Nadu will not be having any exam centres as there are no CBSE Schools.
Also students should not send any requests for change in the examination centres with regards to CBSE 2020 Exams directly to CBSE. Notification says CBSE will not be entertaining such requests which come to them directly.
CBSE students who have shifted to other countries can write their CBSE 2020 Exams from any district in India where there are CBSE affiliated schools.
As of now, no exams will be conducted by CBSE in other countries. Even these candidates have to request for change in exam centre to their school.
CBSE has also brought out a mobile app. This App is called ‘Mobile App-Examination Centre locator of CBSE’ Students can check the location of their examination centre for CBSE 2020 Exams for pending subjects.
This App is available in Google Play Store and students can start checking the location of their exam centre from 20 June onwards. This app will work only on Android mobile phone.
Students can call CBSE helpline for any queries. The helpline number is 1800-11-8002 from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm on all working days. The notification regards to seeking change in exam centres can be accessed at ‘http://cbse.nic.in/newsite/attach/Notification-2.06.2020.pdf’
