BRICS Math Online: Comptn 2020 to promote Maths
BRICS Math Online competition is going to be conducted in two phases that will promote a liking for maths among students. BRICS Math Online contest’s first phase (trial round) will be held from 21 July to 13 September.
The second phase of BRICS Math Online contest’s second phase (main round) will be held from 14 September to 30 October.
The contest is being held with a motive of fostering locigal and reasoning skills in students and also promoting a liking for maths among them.
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is also said to have requested schools affiliated to it to make students of classes 1 to 12 to take part in BRICS Math Online Contest.
Students must visit the official website ‘www.bricsmath.com‘ and choose the language and the country they belong to and click enter. The site is open for registration. Teachers or parents can register the students for BRICS Math Online contest.
Post registration students can login using the username and password to participate in BRICS Math Online competition. What is BRICS Math Online contest all about? The contest is said to contain 10 interactive tasks related to maths and are designed in a game friendly format.
Participants do not need any prior knowledge of maths to take part in BRICS Math Online contest, however the contents of the competition are designed in a way that will motivate students to think different.
BRICS Math Online competition is being hosted by online learning platform ‘dragonlearn.in’ The first phase of the BRICS Math Online competition, will offer the participants an opportunity to practice before the main round.
This is the round where students can take the liberty of making unlimited attempts to solve the tasks. This will also given them a platform to practice well for the second phase.
The results of the first phase do not affect the second phase. The second one will not be like what the first phase was. The latter (second phase) will have 60 minutes and students have to accomplish the tasks within that time frame.

Sources say that it is not mandatory to complete the first phase to take part in the second phase with regards to BRICS Math Online competition. Once the students log out of the platform, their answer get automatically submitted.
There is more to BRICS Math Online contest. Students willing to practice well before taking part in the competition can do so. They must visit the website ‘https://in.bricsmath.com/‘ and they can access the link which will give them a chance to prepare for the contest.
The link for preparation will become active from 22 April onwards till 22 May. Clicking the link will take the students to a preparatory round where they get access to best tasks conducted during the previous contests.
Students can click these tasks and start practicing them to gain confidence. Needless to say, constant practice helps achieve perfection which in turn can help the students in BRICS Math Online contest.
