2020 NTA NEET: Latest updates of the exam
2020 NTA NEET result is expected to be released by October 12.
National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the exam on September 13 which saw about 85 to 90 percent attendance. 2020 NTA NEET saw a registration of over 15 lakh students, most of them appeared for the exam.
Sources said those who missed the exam as they have turned positive for corona virus will have another opportunity to write the exam and date for that would be announced later.
This year was not a smooth sailing for the education sector due to protests in connection with CAA and outbreak of corona virus.
While protests with regards to CAA led to cancellation of CBSE 10th and 12th exams. Outbreak of coronavirus left no room for conducting competitive exams also.
Many exams including that of college and university final exams had to be put on hold. 2020 NTA NEET exam was no exception.
Post commencement of lockdown, 2020 NTA NEET got postponed twice. After much deliberation, 2020 NTA NEET was conducted on September 13.
2020 NTA NEET exam result can be checked on the official website of the exam which can be reached on the link ‘ntaneet.nic.in’
Post download of the official website candidates can click the appropriate link for viewing the result.
The appropriate link will be visible on the official website for 2020 NTA NEET at the right time.
Students after clicking the appropriate link for 2020 NTA NEET exam, have to enter their roll number, date of birth and press ‘submit’
The result for 2020 NTA NEET will be displayed and students can take a printout of the same.
Code-wise question papers of 2020 NTA NEET are available in English, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Telegu, Gujrati, Tamil, Bengali, Assamese and Kannada languages.
All the students have to for downloading the question papers is to visit the official website of the exam at ‘https://ntaneet.nic.in/ntaneet/welcome.aspx’
Post download of the official page, candidates can see a menu right below the official banner of NTA. The menu will have options titled ‘Home’ ‘Notice’ ‘Information Bulletin’ ‘Unfair Means (UFM)’ ‘Information at a Glance’ ‘Important Points’ ‘National Test Abhyas’ and ‘Contact Us’
Applicants willing to download question papers must click the second option ‘Notice.’
Post clicking the option they can see another page with a menus titled ‘Notice in English’ and ‘Archive Notice in English’

For question papers in connection with 2020 NTA NEET, they have to click ‘Notice in English.’ Post clicking one can see a host of links for question papers in various languages.
Candidates can click a link of the language of their choice to view and download the question papers.
It is interesting to note that NTA released the official 2020 NTA NEET answer key. Students had time to raise objections till 29 September.
The final answer key would be released before the 2020 NTA NEET exam result is announced.
Not to fall prey to unscruplous elements
National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that its role is restricted only to conducting the NEET exam.
The clarification comes out as many students have complained to NTA that a few people posing as their staff have called them saying they can arrange admission in the desired medical college by manipulating the OMR sheet of the candidate.
Sources say, students who have written 2020 NTA NEET exam have received such calls and NTA said they are fake persons and requested the students not to fall prey to such elements.
NTA in a notification clarified the role of it is restricted to mere conducting of 2020 NTA NEET exam. It is invites applications for the test, conducts it and declares the result.
Post result declaration, the details of the result including that of rank holders are handed over to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) which comes under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Government of India.
The rest of the admission process for medical admission is not handled by it, said NTA sources.
NTA also does not have access to phone number or email of the candidates. Hence the question of association of officials of NTA with any such unscruplous elements does not arise.
Any communication regarding the score card or rank card with regards to NEET exam will be done through the official website of the exam ‘www.nta.ac.in’ or ‘ntaneet.ac.in’ only.
Admission into medical colleges takes place on the basis of the ranks obtained by candidates and counselling conducted by DGHS for seats under 15% All India Quota Central Universitiies and the State Counselling Authorities (Directorates of Medical Education of respective states/UTs) and not based on forged OMR sheet or score card of any candidate.
NTA has also lodged a complaint with local police in connection with the unscruplous elements.
It requested even the candidates and their parents also to complain to local police authorities if they receive calls from such fraudsters.
Candidates and their parents can also inform NTA about the unscruplous elements to their email ‘grivance@nta.ac.in’
