Kerala 2024 TET: Passing marks

  • For Categories I & II (Lower and Upper Primary Teachers):
  • General Category Candidates: In total, candidates from the general category are required to attain a minimum of 60% marks in order to qualify for the exam.
  • SC/ST/OBC/PH Candidates: They must have minimum 55%.

For Categories III & IV (High School and Specialized Teachers):

  • General Category Candidates: In case of high school teacher, III and specialized teacher category, IV, the minimum percentage is 55 to clear the exam.
  • SC/ST/OBC/PH Candidates: These candidates must have a minimum of 50% for passing in Categories III & IV.

Minimum Percentage Marks in All Subjects

Apart from the percentage marks for qualifying, candidates should also score minimum percentage marks in each subject in the exam. The qualifying percentages of the subjects are as follows:

For all candidates, without any consideration for categories, at least 40% marks in all subjects qualify for that particular exam.
What it means is that even if the candidate manages to clear the overall percentage needed, then it must have at least 40% in each of the subjects and sections of the exam. If any one of them has less than 40%, then that disqualifies the candidate, ignoring the fact that the overall percentage is met or not.”
