They define system requirements, perform system-level testing and validation, and manage risks and uncertainties during a space mission.

10. Satellite Communication Engineering

Designing and operating satellite communication systems is satellite communication engineering. Satellite communication powers ISRO’s data transfer, telecommunications, and broadcasting. Communication payloads aboard satellites are designed, developed, and tested by satellite communication engineers. They enable stable communication linkages between ground stations and satellites, optimise data transmission speeds, and preserve signal quality and integrity. Satellite communication experts also help broadcasters transmit television and radio over satellite networks and enable voice and data connection via satellites.

Robotics & Automation

Robotics and automation are crucial to space exploration and mission operations. Robotics and automation professionals at ISRO help build, maintain, and explore space vehicles. They create space-ready robots for precision tasks. Space missions employ robotic arms, rovers, and other autonomous devices designed and programmed by robotics and automation specialists. Their experience promotes rapid and accurate job execution, decreases human danger, and enhances space exploration options.

12. Analytics and Data Science

ISRO’s satellites and sensors capture massive volumes of data for data science and analytics. Data scientists at ISRO study Earth’s ecology, weather trends, and mission planning. Complex datasets are analysed using advanced analytical methods, machine learning algorithms, and statistical models. Data scientists work with other professionals to construct prediction models for weather forecasting, analyse satellite pictures for environmental monitoring, and optimise mission parameters for efficiency and efficacy. Data analysis and interpretation enable them to make educated judgements and improve Earth and space science.
