IIT Jodhpur celebrated Teachers’ Day 2024 with a series of events to honour institution’s educators and introduce new academic initiatives.

The celebration began with a traditional Sarasvati Vandana, followed by the Lamp Lighting Ceremony and a tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

Professor Avinash Kumar Agarwal, Director of IIT Jodhpur, delivered the inaugural address, reflecting on the importance of teaching as a noble profession.

He introduced a new initiative aimed at offering first-year B.Tech. courses in Matra Bhasha (non-English) languages, making education more accessible and inclusive for students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.

A brief video presentation demonstrated the potential of this initiative to bridge language barriers in technical education.

This was followed by the Teaching Excellence Awards Ceremony, recognizing six outstanding faculty members for their contributions to academic excellence. The awards celebrate educators who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing the learning experience at IIT Jodhpur.

Role of Teachers

Dr. O. P. Yadav, Director of ICAR-CAZRI, Jodhpur, emphasized the holistic role of teachers in shaping responsible citizens.

Research in Clean Energy

Narendra Goliya, Chairman and Managing Director of Rishabh Instruments Ltd. and Ivaan Foundation, spoke about the newly established Rishabh Centre for Research & Innovation in Clean Energy.

This initiative, supported by a ₹70 crore donation from Mr. Goliya, aims to propel research in clean energy technologies, contributing to India’s sustainable future.

Goliya also announced two significant research chairs to promote the research excellence of faculty members at IIT Jodhpur: the Goliya Chair for Energy Research, and the Johri Young Faculty Fellowship for Energy Research.

‘Character building for future generations goes beyond book knowledge; it’s about impactful teachers and the irreplaceable teacher-student relationship,’ said Goliya, reinforcing the importance of education in India’s growth.

Chief Guest

Chief Guest for the event at IIT Jodhpur was Prof. K. L. Srivastava, Vice Chancellor of JNVU, Jodhpur. He spoke on the significance of integrating regional languages into technical education, underscoring IIT Jodhpur’s commitment to both innovation and cultural preservation.

‘At IIT Jodhpur, celebrating Teachers’ Day involves harmonizing nature and technology, with a strong commitment to incorporating regional languages into BTech programs,’ said Prof. Srivastava.

SRMJEEE 2025 Exam Application submission can be done till 16 April 2025 for first phase at ‘https://applications.srmist.edu.in/btech’

Candidates can click the link above to submit SRMJEEE 2025 Exam Application. The exam will be conducted in three phases and last dates for submitting applications in each of these phases are different.

SRMJEEE 2025 Exam Application

Choice

Students who wish to write the exam in the first phase have to submit SRMJEEE 2025 Exam Application on or before 16 April 2025.

Those who wish to write in the second phase have to register before 6 June 2025, students willing to write exam in third phase have to apply on or before 30 June 2025.

Exams

The first phase of the exam will be conducted from 22.04.2025 to 27.04.2025. Second phase of the exam will be conducted from 12.06.2025 to 17.06.2025.

The third phase of the exam will take place from 04.07.2025 to 05.07.2025. The exam can be taken up in Remote Proctored Online Mode.

The applicant can take up the examination from their home using their Desktop/Laptop. They have to have a good internet connectivity at their home.

What is SRMJEEE 2025 Exam?

The full name of the exam is SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination and is popular by its short name SRMJEEE. This is an institutional level exam conducted every year.

The exam is conducted in two or three phases every year to provide admission into graduate engineering courses in SRMIST campuses in Chennai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Tiruchirappalli, Sonepat, Haryana and Andhra Pradesh.

The questions in SRMJEEE Exam would be related to maths/biology, physics and chemistry that are taught at class 11 and 12 levels in recognized educational institutions located across India.

Questions will be in a multiple-choice format where each question has more than one reply and the right one among that has to be chosen to get marks.

Post passing the exam, candidates have to visit the website of SRMIST and apply for counselling. It is in counselling candidates can choose the course and college they wish to study.

Subjects in the plus two must be related to the subject in which candidates wish to study graduation.

Candidates can pass plus two in science stream with maths, physics and chemistry if applying for regular engineering programs.

Students trying for biology oriented engineering courses have to pass plus-two with biology, physics and chemistry.

Students who are about to appear for the qualifying exams or those who have appeared and are waiting for the results can also submit SRMJEEE 2025 Exam Application.

However, they have to pass the exam and provide proof of it by the time of admission process commencement.

How to submit SRMJEEE 2025 Exam Application?

The process to submit SRMJEEE 2025 Exam Application is online. Candidates have to visit the official website at ‘https://applications.srmist.edu.in/btech’

1. The URL mentioned above must be typed into the browser and then submitted to allow the website to download.

2. Once the website is ready, candidates have to fill the application form at top right corner below the URL bar and complete registration.

3. After completing the registration, they can verify their email.

4. After email is verified, they can fill the SRMJEEE 2025 Exam Application and pay the registration fees.

5. After paying the registration fee, candidates can submit SRMJEEE 2025 Exam Application.

Candidates have to pay the registration fee of Rs 1200 while submitting SRMJEEE 2025 Exam Application.

How to download hall ticket?

Candidates who have successfully completed SRMJEEE 2025 Exam Application submission process can alone download the hall ticket for the exam from the official website which can be accessed at ‘https://applications.srmist.edu.in/btech’

Process to obtain hall ticket is mentioned below for the sake of the students:

1. The URL mentioned above has to be typed into the browser and the website should be allowed to download.

2. Once the webpage is available, candidates can click the link for the hall ticket and then enter their username and password and submit them to obtain the hall ticket.

3. The admit card can be downloaded and then a printout of it has to be taken. Applicants have to appear for the exam at the designated test center with the hall ticket.

Point to remember

Candidates who choose to write the exam in remote proctored online mode may not require the hall ticket. While those who wish to write the exam at test center have to obtain the admit card.
