The first phase of 2025 placements at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai saw a total of 78 companies giving away 373 job offers. Notably, 20 of these companies were new recruiters. The highest salary offered to students stands at Rs 54 lakh by Microsoft. The average CTC for the top 10% of the batch is recorded at Rs 48 lakh, while for the top 20%, the average is Rs 43.5 lakhs. For the top 50% of students, the average salary package stands at Rs 35 lakh.

Accenture emerged as the biggest recruiter, with 41 offers, almost double what it had given to students last year. The consulting roles offered by the firm are Rs 37 lakh annually. Operations and supply chain management companies, which are old recruiters at the newest IIM, also participated in large numbers.
In the summer placements for the batch of 2026, 128 companies offered internships to 425 students. The average stipend for these internships was Rs 3 lakhs for two months, with the highest stipend being Rs 5 lakhs from Coca-Cola. For the top 10% of the batch, the average stipend was Rs 5 lakhs, while the top 20% received Rs 4.5 lakhs. The top 50% had an average stipend of Rs 3.75 lakhs.
The season went rather smoothly and well, according to Neeraj Pandey, chairperson of placement and branding at IIM Mumbai: “The first round of placements is over. It started on November 25. Now everything is going pretty well with the market recovering. We had got many more offers compared to last year. All of them who have work experience as well as some freshers got placed. The rest are going to have another round in January.”
