CSIR UGC NET December 2024 Exam Application Submission is open till 30 December 2024 at ‘https://csirnet.nta.ac.in/’
The registration for the exam started on 9 December 2024 and this is about the December edition of the exam.
Those who have submitted CSIR UGC NET December 2024 exam application, can take up corrections in their applications from 1 to 2 January 2025.
Exam will be held from 16 to 28 February 2025 as an online exam where the questions have to be answered on a computer screen at the designated test center. Duration to answer questions is three hours or 180 minutes.
There will be five test papers in the exam and they are related to the subjects – Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences.
What is CSIR UGC NET December 2024 Exam?
The full name of the exam is the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test which is abbreviated as CSIR UGC NET.
It is a national-level exam conducted two times a year and is for candidates who wish to take up research (Junior Research Fellowship) in science subjects.
Those desiring to become assistant professors (job of lectureship) in science subjects can also apply.
The exam is conducted online and answers have to be registered on a computer screen at the designated test centers which will be located across India.
The questions are from the subjects – Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences.
Format of the questions is multiple-choice where each question has more than one reply and the right one among that has to be chosen to get marks.
Who can submit CSIR UGC NET December 2024 Exam Application?
The eligibility to submit CSIR UGC NET December 2024 exam application is a pass in MSc or equivalent degree integrated BS-MS, BS-4years, BE, B.Tech, B.Pharma and MBBS.
Those desiring to submit CSIR UGC NET 2024 application must have a minimum pass marks or 55% in their qualifying exam if they are from General(UR)/General-EWS category applicants.
Same for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST category candidates is 50%. Candidates who have studied B.Sc. (Hons.) or equivalent or are enrolled in an integrated MS-PhD program can also take up CSIR UGC NET December 2024 exam application submission.

5. Once the webpage with above URL opens, they can click the button New Candidate Register Here to register and open an account.
6. Post account creation, they can come to the URL ‘https://csirnetdec2024.ntaonline.in/’ and login using the credentials created during the registration and start filling CSIR UGC NET December 2024 exam application.
How to download admit card?
The process to download admit card for the exam is online and candidates have to come to the official website of the exam to obtain it. The process to do that is mentioned below:

1. The official website URL ‘https://csirnet.nta.ac.in/’ has to be typed into the browser and submitted to allow the website to download.
2. Once the website is ready, candidates have to click the link for admit card or hall ticket.
3. Clicking the link will open another webpage , once that opens, candidates have to type their application number and other details and submit them to view the admit card.
4. Once the admit card is visible, candidates have to download it and then take a print out of it.
The applicants must appear for the exam at the test center chosen by them. Those who pass the test with the required qualifying marks can apply for JRF or Assistant Professorship.
