About Thangavelu Engineering College, Chennai
The Ponniamman Educational Trust and the TJ Educational Trust created Thangavelu Engineering College in 1995 to create engineers and technocrats of the highest possible calibre. A spectacular need for trained engineers in all fields has arisen as a result of the quick advances that our nation has achieved in the realm of science and technology. To meet this demand, there has been an increase in the number of educational institutions that provide engineering programmes. One may say that the campus, which has well-constructed classrooms, labs that are well equipped, workshops, a contemporary computer centre, and a well-stocked library, is comparable to the finest that is available elsewhere. Karapakkam is the location of the College, which is around 10 kilometres away from Tambaram and 1 km away from Sholinganallur. In addition to being affiliated with Anna University in Chennai and being certified as an ISO 9001:2008 institution, the college has received approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in New Delhi.
