About Saveetha College of Architecture and Design - [SCAD], Chennai
Saveetha College of Architecture and Design, established in 2019 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is a leading educational institution in India. Saveetha College of Architecture and Design (SCAD) introduce a new architecture curriculum with a Design Studio at its core. SCAD puts emphasis on practical experience, innovative expression, research, critical thinking, and creative exploration. SCAD is affiliated with Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Chennai. SCAD provides a flexible system for students, giving them a lot of opportunities and choices to choose their subjects and electives. A wide range of electives from new technologies, art appreciation, ideation, interior design, theatre, heritage, urban studies, rural studies, journalism, music, sports, and research are provided across the course. Collaborations with International Universities provide the possibility of exchange studios, workshops, and travel to new cultures.
