Qualification Criteria and FMG Examination

Indian students in the final year of their Ukrainian medicine course by June 30, 2022, can now take the FMG examination. Successful candidates must undergo a two-year compulsory rotating medical internship for registration.

Academic Mobility Program and Relief Measure

NMC approves Ukraine's Academic Mobility Program, offering a one-time opportunity for FMGs to finish their remaining medical course in another university. An extension of relaxation, acknowledged due to ongoing challenges, was communicated on November 22, 2023.

Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI)

Successful FMG examination candidates are required to undergo a compulsory rotating medical internship (CRMI) for two years, ensuring comprehensive clinical training for registration.

Academic Mobility Program Approval

Extension of Relaxation

In response to continued challenges, NMC extends relaxation for these students by an additional three months, acknowledging the complexities they face.

With these relief measures, around 5,000 Indian students in Ukrainian universities experience a significant impact, easing challenges and facilitating a smoother path towards completing their medical qualifications.
