ARUN YOGIRAJ: THE SCULPTOR WHO CARVED THE RAM LALLA IDOL

Born into a 5th generation sculpting family in Agrahara, Karnataka. Initially pursued commerce and worked in banking before embracing his artistic lineage.

 Began sculpting apprenticeship under his uncle in 1998. Honed his skills in intricate stone carving and traditional techniques.

30-foot Subhash Chandra Bose statue in New Delhi. 12-foot Adi Shankaracharya statue in Kedarnath. Sculptures of prominent figures like Sir M. Vishveshwaraiah and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

Notable works 

Chosen in 2020 to sculpt the Ram Lalla idol for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. Dedicated months to meticulous research and craftsmanship. Studied over 1,000 images of Lord Rama for inspiration.

The black granite Ram Lalla idol was unveiled in January 2024. Praised for its serenity, divinity, and accurate portrayal of Lord Rama. Yogiraj became a symbol of faith and artistic excellence.
