VITEEE 2020 dates changed
‘VITEEE’ 2020, also know as Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination 2020 has some changes with regards to its dates. The changes are with regards to the last date for applying for VITEEE, slot booking dates for the same and admit card download dates for VITEEE.
While many sources point out that the exact reason behind the decision to change the dates regarding VITEEE is not clear, however their official website ‘https://vit.ac.in/BTechAdmissions/’ is running a scrolling message.

The scrolling message says ‘Coronavirus situation is being monitored closely, any changes in slot booking and VITEEE schedule will be notified on the official website and also individually notified through SMS and email.

Exam was to be conducted from 13 to 19 April initially, however all these will happen on different dates now. With all these postponements, even date to declare results and counselling dates and class commencement date have also been changed.

The applicants can also send their queries to email ‘ugadmission@vit.ac.in’ Sources from VIT say, owing to transport restrictions the telephone support with regards to admission process is being suspended, however, candidates can make use of the email.
Exam pattern
The exam tests knowledge of students in Maths/Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude. The test has 125 questions in multiple choice format and have to be answered in two-and-half hours.
Candidates who have chosen MPCEA (Maths/Physics/ Chemistry/English/Aptitude)in VITEEE 2020 are eligible for all the B.Tech. Programmes. While those who have opted for BPCEA(Biology/Physics/Chemistry/ English/Aptitude)in VITEEE are eligible for the following Bio stream programmes only.

However, after joining, registering Mathematics as bridge course is mandatory. The programmes in the bio-stream are B.Tech Bio-engineering (VIT-Bhopal), B.Tech Biotechnology(VIT-Vellore), B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering with specialisation in Bioinformatics (VIT-Vellore), B.Tech Electronics and Communication with specialisation in Biomedical Engineering(VIT-Vellore).
Eligibility
Candidates willing to apply for the exam are supposed to have a pass in plus-two with a minimum 60% marks and subjects must be Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English.
Courses
Aerospace Engineering, Biotechnology, Bio engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering with specialisation in Information Security, Computer Science and Engineering with Business systems(in collaboration with TCS), Computer Science and Engineering with specialisation in Data Science, B.Tech courses offered through VITEEE are among the courses offered through the exam.
Another offline mode to obtain application form is b sending a demand draft of Rs 1250 in favour of ‘Vellore Institute of Technology in person at any one of VIT’s premises at Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and Andhra Pradesh.
The method to apply online is by loging on to the official website ‘https://viteee.vit.ac.in’ once the web page downloads, applicants can click the required links there to apply for the popular exam.
