UPSC NDA and NA 2 Exam 2023 registration has started on the official website of Union Public Service Commission. Candidates keen on a career in the Indian Armed Forces can apply. The last date to take up UPSC NDA and NA 2 Exam 2023 registration is 6 June 2023 (6 PM).
UPSC NDA and NA also known as Union Public Service Commission National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Exam. This is held twice every year to recruit youngsters as officers in Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force.
The exam for the first edition took place on 16 April 2023. The same for the second edition will be held on 3 September 2023. Hall ticket will be available for download about 15 days before the exam.
Who can take up UPSC NDA and NA 2 Exam 2023 registration?
Candidates who passed plus two from a recognized educational institution located anywhere in India can take up UPSC NDA and NA 2 Exam 2023 registration which is nothing but applying for the exam.
Those willing to choose Indian Navy or Indian Air Force can preferably have to pass plus two in science stream with subjects as maths, physics and chemistry.
Students focused on Indian Army can pass plus two from any stream to take up UPSC NDA and NA 2 Exam 2023 registration.

Candidates wishing to take up UPSC NDA and NA 2 Exam 2023 registration must be an Indian citizen and should be unmarried.
Even a subject of Nepal or persons of Indian origin who has migrated to India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India can take up UPSC NDA and NA 2 Exam 2023 registration.
However, subjects of Nepal or persons of Indian origin who have come to India must obtain eligibility certificate from Government of India before applying.
The vacancies
Candidates who pass this exam can appear for SSB Interview to get selected for Army, Navy and Air Force wings at National Defence Academy (NDA) or Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme).
NDA has 208 vacancies (Army), 42 vacancies (Navy) and 120 vacancies (Air Force) and Naval Academy has 25 vacancies. The total number vacancies are 395.

When link for submitting application with URL ‘https://upsconline.nic.in/upsc/OTRP/index.php’ opens up, candidates have to click <New Registration> to take up One Time Registration (OTR).
After OTR is completed, candidates can log in and choose the UPSC NDA and NA 2 exam in the menu of exams and then fill the form and submit it.

Candidates can register for SSB Interview separately for Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. The interview will test physical fitness, mental ability and medical fitness of the candidates.
Final selection will likely be done based on performance in the SSB Interview. Those selected can join the services.
