UPCET 2021 last date for great regn extended till May 10
UPCET 2021 application submission last date has been extended till 5 pm of May 10. Exam fee can be paid till 11:00 pm on 10 May.
That is not all, there are also changes made with regards to exam date, admission criteria with regards to certain courses and exam schedule.
Sources say, National Testing Agency (NTA) which conducts the exam says the alterations have been made to ensure UPCET 2021 schedule does not clash with CBSE 12th class exams and intermediate exams of UP Board.
Exam schedule and registration
The earlier last date to register for UPCET 2021 was April 30.
According to a notification released by National Testing Agency, it came to its notice that exam dates of UPCET 2021 was coming in the way of CBSE 12th class exams and UP Board Intermediate exams.
As students have to focus on 12th class and Intermediate exams, they could not apply for UPCET 2021.
The registration date has been extended till 10 May from earlier April 30.
Keeping in view the extension of last date to apply for UPCET 2021, the exam date has also been changed.
UPCET 2021 will be conducted on 15 June as per the new schedule. Earlier, the test was to be conducted on 18 May.
Revised exam duration
The revised exam duration of various subjects covered under UPCET 2021 is given below:
Two hours
The first year of BHMCT, B.Des, BFA, BFAD, BVoc and MBA (integrated) – 12 pm to 2 pm
First year BBA – 8 am to 10 am
BTech Second Year (lateral entry for diploma holders) – 8am to 10 am
BPharma (lateral entry) – 8 am to 10 am
Master of Business Administration (MBA) – 8 am to 10 am
BTech Second Year (lateral entry for
BSc graduates) – 12 pm to 2 pm
Master of Computer Applications (MCA) – 12 pm to 2 pm
MCA (intergrated) – 4 pm to 6 pm.
MSc (Maths), MSc (Physics), MSc (Chemistry), MTech (Civil), MTech (Computer Science and Engineering/Information Technology), MTech (Electrical Engineering), MTech (Electronics and Communication Engineering) and MTech (Mechanical Engineering) – 4 pm to 6 pm
Three hours
First year exam for BPharma, BTech (BT) and BTech (AG) – 4 pm to 7 pm
Admission criteria
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University (AKTU) of Lucknow will conduct admission for BTech (Agriculture Engineering – AG) and BTech (Biotechnology – BT) courses based on JEE Mains 2021 course.
Students with good score in JEE Mains will be considered for admission into BTech (AG) and BTech (BT).
Individuals passing UPCET 2021 with good score will be considered after filling the seats with students who pass JEE Mains.
Accordingly, the eligibility criteria for students seeking admission into BTech (BT) and BTech (AG) has also been changed.
Individuals willing to apply for BTech (BT) through UPCET 2021 must have passed (with/without grace) intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects along with anyone of the subject Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject
Similarly, candidates seeking admission into BTech (AG) through UPCET 2021 must have passed (with/without grace) intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with Physics/Agricultural Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with any one of the subject Mathematics/Agricultural Maths subject.
The scheme of examination for candidates seeking admission into BTech (BT) through UPCET 2021 must attempt questions from physics, chemistry, biology/maths for total of 600 marks.
The duration of the exam is three hours and there will be no negative marking.
Also, those seeking admission into BTech (AG) must answer questions from physics, chemistry, maths for total of 600 marks in three hours time. There will be no negative marking.
Further, it is made clear that admission to MBA course in the Institute/Colleges affiliated to
AKTU or other specified Universities in Uttar Pradesh is done on the basis of Common
Management Admission Test (CMAT) score.
