TSTET 2023 registration is on till 16 August 2023 and candidates can apply at https://tstet.cgg.gov.in/. Exam is for knowing the eligibility of candidates for the post of teachers. The process of application submission began on 2 August 2023.

Telangana State Department of School Education (TSDSE) is conducting this exam that determines the eligibility of candidates for the post of teachers in Telangana.

About the exam

The full name of the exam is Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test which is popular to all as TS TET or TSTET. This is a state level exam conducted every year and candidates who are interested in teaching profession can focus on this exam.

TSTET 2023 is meant to be conducted this year (2023). This has two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates keen on becoming teachers for Classes 1 to 5 can prepare for Paper 1.

Who can take up TSTET 2023 registration

Candidates willing to apply for Paper 1 through TSTET 2023 registration have to pass plus two with atleast 50% marks. Those from SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.

Applicants must also be a pass in 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education/4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)/ 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Paper 2

Candidates willing to apply for this paper through TSTET 2023 registration must have passed graduation in any discipline with atleast 50% marks. In case of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.

They should have also passed Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course/Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education). Those who have studied 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks (in case of SC/ST/BC/Differently
abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%) can also apply.

How to take up TSTET 2023 registration?

The process to apply for TSTET 2023 registration is online. Applications can be submitted on the official website ‘https://tstet.cgg.gov.in/’ The detailed process is mentioned below:

1. The URL mentioned above has to be typed into the browser and submitted to allow the website to download.

2. Once the website is downloaded, candidates can read about the vacancy by clicking the notification.

3. After reading about the vacancy, they can click <Online Payment> button.

4. Which will open another webpage with URL  ‘https://cggpggateway.cgg.gov.in/PAYMENTSSPR2020/#!/payentrytstet90745673w46561645845r2023.tstet’

5. After the webpage with above URL opens, candidates can pay the registration fees and then obtain journal number.

6. After obtaining the journal number on payment of registration fees, they can click the button <Online Application>

7 That will open another webpage with URL ‘https://tstet.cgg.gov.in/TSTETAPPL2022/#!/tstet2407ktk66166150152ktk023augappl.appl’

8. When the webpage with above URL opens, they can provide journal number, date of payment and date of birth and submit them.

9. After submitting them, the form will be available.

10. Candidates can fill the form and then submit it.

TSTET 2023 registration

Paper 1 has questions related to Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II English, Mathematics and Environmental Studies.

Paper 2 has questions related to Child Development and Pedagogy, English, Mathematics and Science, Social Studies. The duration to answer questions is 2 hours 30 minutes or 150 minutes for each paper.

After exam

Candidates who have taken up the TSTET 2023 registration completely will be able to write the exam. They have to pass the exam with minimum qualifying marks.

The minimum qualifying marks are 60% and above for General category candidates. The same for BC is 50% and above and SC/ST/PH category candidates it is 40% and above.
