TS ICET 2021: Registration is on till great 15 June
TS ICET 2021 registration process began on 7 April, students aspiring to study MBA or MCA in Telangana can apply till 15 June.
About TS ICET 2021
TS ICET 2021 is expanded into Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test 2021.
Individuals who pass TS ICET 2021 will be able to get admission into MBA or MCA courses offered by various universities and their affiliated colleges across Telangana.
Eligibility
MBA
Applicants willing to seek admission into MBA through TS ICET 2021 must have passed any degree that is either of three year duration or four year duration.
Candidates must have passed their qualifying exam with 50 percent pass marks if they are from General category.
Applicants for TS ICET 2021 from SC/ST categories must have 45% pass marks in their qualifying exam.
MCA
Students targeting MCA admission must have passed any degree with 50 percent pass marks if they are from General category.
The same for applicants from SC/ST categories is 45 percent.
Applicants for MCA through TS ICET 2021 must also have mathematics as one of the subjects at the plus-two.
Point to remember
Students who are appearing for the final year exam of their qualifying degree can also apply for TS ICET 2021.
However, they should have passed their qualifying exam and be able to produce their degree certificate and marksheets by the time of admission.
Applicants who have passed their qualifying degree exam through distance education should make sure their degree is recognised by Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/DEB as per UGC Regulations 2013.
Qualifying marks
The qualifying marks in TS ICET 2021 is 25 percent for students of general category. However, there is no specific cutoff for candidates of SC/ST category.
Important dates
The registration for TS ICET 2021 began on 7 April and last date to submit applications without late fee is 15 June.
Application for TS ICET 2021 can be submitted till 30 June with a late fee of Rs 250.
The last date to receive applications for TS ICET 2021 is 15 July with a late fee of Rs 500.
Candidates submitting applications further late can submit them till 11 August if they pay a late fee of Rs 1000.
The test is conducted in two sessions on 19 August – 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
TS ICET 2021 will be held in the forenoon session (10 am to 12:30 pm) on the second day (20 August).
Hallticket and result
Halltickets will be available for download on the official website of the exam from 13 August onwards.
The preliminary key in connection with TS ICET 2021 will be released on 27 August. The last date to submit objections on preliminary answer key is 31 August.
Final answerkey and exam result will be released on 17 September.
Registration fee
Registration charge for General category students is Rs 650. The same for applicants of TS ICET 2021 from SC/ST categories is Rs 450.
How to apply
The procedure to apply is online. Applicants of TS ICET 2021 have to visit the official website at ‘https://icet.tsche.ac.in/TSICET/TSICET_HomePage.aspx’
Soon after the webpage downloads, students have to scroll down the page and click the button ‘Application Fee Payment’ located in the middle of the webpage under ‘Application’ menu.
Post clicking the link for fee payment, applicants can remit the required amount through net banking or debit card or credit card.
Applicants after paying the fee will receive Payment ID (payment confirmation) number.
After obtaining Payment ID number, applicants for TS ICET 2021 can click the link for registration and provide their payment ID number, hallticket number of qualifying exam, mobile number and date of birth and commence registration.
Applicants can provide the required information, upload their photo, documents and image of their signature and submit the application.

Exam pattern
TS ICET 2021 will have three sections – Section A (Analytical Ability), Section B (Mathematical Ability) and Section C (Communication Ability)
Section A is for 75 marks and Section B and Section is for 75 and 50 marks respectively.
Candidates will have a time of 150 minutes to answer all 200 questions in multiple choice format. The total marks is 200.

Data Sufficiency
A data is provided in the questions and based on that candidates have to work out the right answer.
Problem Solving
Analogies of numbers and alphabet, completion of blank spaces following the pattern in a: b: c: d relationship; odd thing out: missing number in a sequence or a series.
The data given in a Table, Graph, Bar diagram, Pie Chart, Venn Diagram or a Passage is to be analyzed and the questions pertaining to the data are to be answered.
A code pattern of English Alphabet is given. A given word or a group of letters are to be coded or decoded based on the given code or codes.
Calendar problems, clock problems, blood relationships, arrivals and departures
schedules, seating arrangements, symbol and notation interpretation.
Mathematical Ability
Laws of indices, ratio and proportion; surds; numbers and divisibility, l.c.m. and g.c.d;
Rational numbers, Ordering; Percentages; Profit and loss; Partnership, Pipes and cisterns, time, distance and work problems, areas and volumes, mensuration, modular arithmetic.
Statements, Truth tables, implication converse and inverse, Tautologies-Sets, Relations and functions, applications – Equation of a line in different forms.
Trigonometry – Trigonometric ratios, Trigonometric ratios of standard angles, (0°,
30°, 45°, 60°, 90°, 180°): Trigonometric identities: sample problems on heights
and distances, Polynomials; Remainder theorem and consequences; Linear equations and expressions; Progressions, Binomial Theorem, Matrices, Notion of a limit and derivative; Plane geometry – lines, Triangles, Quadrilaterals, Circles, Coordinate geometry-distance between points
Frequency distributions, Mean, Median, Mode, Standard Deviation, Correlation, simple problems on Probability.
Understand the functional use of grammar in day-to-day communication as well as
in the business contexts.
Business and Computer terminology – Identify the basic terminology and concepts in computer and business contexts (letters, reports, memoranda, agenda, minutes etc.).
Reading comprehension – Understanding written text and drawing inferences.
