SRM University in AP forms liason with great university of USA
SRM University in AP now has formed a liason with Northeastern University in Boston in United States of America.
The motive for SRM University in-AP behind fostering this liason to put mutual efforts towards advancement of education and research.
This is a significant venture to collaborate with top universities such as Northeastern University, which will lead the SRM University to the path of advanced research and educational programmes.
It is interesting to note that the MoU committee at SRM AP is working aggressively to bring top universities across the globe for the students to get the benefit and enhance their career.
Northeastern University is part of top five percent world universities.
The collaboration with it will provide a possibility for the students of SRM University (AP) to visit, learn and explore Northeastern University which is one of the top in USA.
Sources further say, prime beneficiaries of this MoU are the students of SRM AP as it provides a platform for them to explore a study abroad programme there, including getting a UG degree from a top-ranked US university.
Other beneficiaries include faculty members and scholars for whom joint research programs could be enabled in the future.
An earlier MoU that has been signed between SRM University in AP and Northeastern University is a generic one which helps SRM University in AP to talk with Northeastern University on the possibilities of collaboration.
Activities that can be taken up between SRM University in AP and Northeastern University after signing the current MoU are mobility of faculty, scholars and students between the two institutions.
The other activity that can be taken up between SRM University in AP and the American university are joint teaching, research, or cultural activity.
The present MoU between SRM University in AP and Northeastern University also provides more scope student services and support, conducting of professional development programmes for faculty and staff.
Also MoU gives scope for conducting programme based internships, joint development of ongoing and new curricula and academic projects.

The present pact between SRM University in AP and Northeastern University gives enough scope for collaboration in academic publications and other materials of mutual interest.
The MoU Committee of SRM University in AP will further enhance the collaboration with specific departments.
SRM University in AP is already in the process of extending the collaboration to the department level, including Computer Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering to start with.

Later, other engineering, science and management streams will be included in the alliance.
SRM University in AP is also exploring opportunities on internships, semester abroad programs and other educational and research activities that will greatly benefit its students.
Founder’s Day celebrated
SRM University in AP also recently celebrated Founder’s Day in a grand manner to occasion of birthday of Dr. T.R. Paarivendhar, founder of SRM Group.
Dr. T.R. Paarivendhar is also a member of parliament of Perambalur constituency in Tamil Nadu.
As part of the celebration, jute bags were distributed among the dwellers of Neerukonda and Kuragallu, encouraging them to quit using plastic products.
Professor Vajja Sambasiva Rao, Vice-Chancellor, SRM University in AP planted saplings around SRM AP campus as a mark of strengthening the environment.
Chief Guest of the event, Ram Prasad himself rendered a hand in the noble gesture of distributing fruits to the elderly.
Professor Vajja Sambasiva Rao lauded the gesture of the university to extend services to the society. SRM University in AP Seva Programmes were also appreciated and attended by Dr. B. Sivakumar, Deputy Registrar, Wing Commander Venkataachalam Sekkappan, Director-CLM, and Ramesh Babu, Chief Liaison Officer among others.
