SRM University 2020: Ties up with great APSSDC to provide training
SRM University 2020 – SRM University at Amaravati has entered into a tie up with Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) to provide its students with online internship programme of one month to 45 days.
The training programme exposes the students of SRM University at Amaravati in Andhra Pradesh to the real-world experience and live projects by utilising latest industry tools such as Android, web development using React JS and Django, Python, embedded printed circuit board, AWS Cloud.
Furthermore, out of the total 1140 registered students, 821 students are doing Online Internship in Phase-I, and the remaining others will get a chance at the Phase-II of the programme.
It is an amazingly great opportunity that APSSDC has provided for the students. The Online Internship Programme is curved out to play a pivotal role for SRM University (AP) students with the experience needed to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
Simultaneously, it will help students to enhance their ability and confidence to secure their dream job in IT and core sectors.

There is another happy news related to SRM group of institutions. SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre (SRM MCHRC) has been selected by Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) as a clinical trial site of the country’s first indigenous COVID-19 vaccine (BBV152 COVID Vaccine).
SRM MCHRC is located on the premises of SRM University at Kattankulathur which is situated about 35 kilometres away from Chennai.
SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre is one among the 12 institutions in India to have been chosen by ICMR for undertaking human clinical trials of India’s first indigenous vaccine developed by ICMR- National Institute of Virology, Pune, ICMR has partnered with Bharat Biotech International limited, Hyderabad.
Associate Professor from the Department of Pharmacology at SRM MCHRC Dr. Satyajith Mohapatra, has been chosen as the Principal Investigator for this clinical trial at SRM MCHRC located on the premises of SRM University in Tamil Nadu.
This is the first indigenous vaccine being developed by India and is one of the top priority projects which is being monitored at the topmost level of the Government.
The Indian Government has envisaged launching the vaccine for public health use latest by 15 August after completion of all clinical trials.
This comes at a time when the entire world is reeling under the COVID-19 pandemic and there is a dire urgency to launch the vaccine.
