PSTET 2023: Great registration starts
PSTET 2023 registration began on 19 February 2023. Students can visit the official website of the exam to submit applications. The last date for registration is 28 February 2023.
It is for individuals who are keen on opting for teaching as a career. PSTET 2023 will be conducted on 12 March 2023. The application is also open to candidates coming from other states.
They are the minimum marks candidates have to score in the exam to be eligible for further process. Scores of the candidates in PSTET 2023 must be either greater than the cutoff marks or equal to them to be eligible for further process.
What is the PSTET 2023 Exam?
The full name is Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test and is popularly known as PSTET 2023 it is a state-level test conducted by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) of Punjab.
It is conducted every year and PSTET 2023 is meant to be held this year (2023). The exam will likely be conducted offline, as a pen and paper-based test where the answers have to be marked on an answer sheet provided separately at the test centres.
PSTET 2023 will have two papers-Paper 1 and Paper 2. Applicants can appear for either one of the above-mentioned papers or for both. Individuals who are keen on teaching jobs for classes 1 to 5 can apply for Paper 1 of PSTET 2023.
Candidates desiring to become teachers for classes 6 to 8 can opt for Paper 2 of PSTET 2023. The process to apply for the exam is online and the official website for it has to be visited to submit applications.
Who can apply for the exam?
The eligibility to apply for PSTET 2023 is a pass in the D.El.Ed. Course / B.Ed. Course from a recognized educational institution located anywhere in Punjab or other parts of India.
Candidates who appeared or are appearing for the final exams of their qualifying degree examination and whose results are yet to be declared can also appear for PSTET 2023. These students have to pass the exam and provide proof of it by the time of admission.
How to apply?
The process to apply for PSTET 2023 is online and candidates have to visit the official website of the
exam hosted by SCERT to submit applications. The URL to reach it is ‘https://pstet2023.org/’
The URL mentioned above has to be typed into the browser of the computer and the website has to be allowed to download. Once the web page is available in the browser, candidates must click the registration link.
Post clicking the link, candidates can provide details like their name, date of birth, and email id and create an account comprising a username and password. Once the account is ready, candidates can log in and start filling out the application form for PSTET 2023.
The form has to be filled and the registration fee has to be paid and submitted. Post submission, applicants have to wait for the message indicating successful submission, once it is obtained, it can be downloaded and a printout of it has to be taken and preserved for future use.
After application
Students have to appear for PSTET 2023 on 12 March 2023 and pass it with the required qualifying marks to be eligible for the next process which involves applying for teaching jobs.
The scores in the PSTET have to be mentioned while applying for teaching vacancies in schools. The applicants for teacher jobs may have to undergo the required procedures like interview and document verification to get the required job.
