An official notification says the decision to extend the last date with regards to NTA Exams in 2020 has been taken keeping in view the requests received from students and hardships they are facing owing to COVID-19 situation.
It is known that entire nation went into a lockdown to regulate the problems posed by corona virus outbreak more than two months ago.
Host of exams had to postponed, admission processes in educational institutions also had to come to a standstill as lockdown left no feasibility for them to happen.
While NTA Exams in 2020 also could not be conducted due to lockdown, the last dates for submitting applications in this regard are being extended more than once.
While the earlier decided last date for submitting applications for NTA Exams in 2020 was 31 May, the new last date is now 15 June.
With extension of the last date for submitting applications for NTA Exams in 2020, many more aspirants will be able to submit their registrations.
As the last date to submit applications for NTA Exams in 2020 have been extended, even the dates for downloading hall tickets with regards to these exams also are to undergo a change.
NTA notification says, new dates with regards to downloading of hall-tickets for NTA Exams in 2020 and also the dates on which these exams would be conducted will be informed on official website of NTA.
NTA Exams in 2020 are Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) PhD and OPENMAT (MBA) Entrance Examination 2020, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)-2020, Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE)-2020, UGC NET June 2020 and Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2020.

As per the changes made to the last date for submitting application for NTA Exams in 2020, notification mentions that applicants can register themselves till 5 pm of 15 June and fee can be submitted till 11:50 pm on 15 June.

The method to pay fee with regards to registration for NTA Exams in 2020 is through online banking, debit card, net banking, UPI and PayTM.
Union Minister for Human Resources Development has also mentioned the change in the last date regarding the application submission for NTA Exams in 2020.
‘In view of many requests received from students and the hardships faced by them due to COVID-19 epidemic, I have advised @DG_NTA to further extend the last dates of submission of Online Application Forms for the following exams:’ was the message of the Union Minister on Twitter.
