NMAT by GMAC registration started on 1 August and candidates can visit the official website at ‘mba.com/exams/nmat’ to apply. Individuals focused on management course admissions in colleges in India and abroad can apply.
Admissions into management courses are a pathway for a great career in life and students keen on them can look towards taking up NMAT by GMAC registration.
Those who take up NMAT by GMAC registration can choose the slot (time) to appear for the exam. Individuals can write the exam either in offline mode (at the test center) or online (from their home).
About the exam
The full name of the exam is NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) and is conducted by Graduate Management Aptitude Council (GMAC) and is popular as NMAT by GMAC.
It is a national level exam conducted once a year for a period of 75 to 80 days. Candidates can register and write for the exam once the application window is made open.

The medium of the exam is english and duration to answer the questions is 2 hours of 120 minutes. The scores of the exam are available within 48 hours after appearing for it.
Candidates can also choose to make the score card in the exam visible for institutions where they have applied for management course admissions.
Who can take up NMAT by GMAC registration?
NMAT by GMAC registration can be taken by individuals who have passed graduation or postgraduation in any discipline from a recognized educational institution located anywhere in India.
The pass marks in the qualifying exam must be 50% at the minimum for the applicants. Even those who have appeared for their qualifying exam and are waiting for the results or those who are about to appear for the exams of their qualifying degree can also take up NMAT by GMAC registration.
However, these applicants have to pass their qualifying exam and produce a proof for it by the time the admission into management courses commences in the institutions.

The process to take up NMAT by GMAC registration is online and candidates can visit the official website to submit applications at ‘https://www.mba.com/exams/nmat’
1. The URL mentioned above must be typed into the browser and submitted to allow the website to download.
2. Once the website is ready they can click the menu (down arrow mark) located next to ‘NMAT by GMAC’ logo and choose Register button which will open another webpage with URL ‘https://www.mba.com/exams/nmat/register-schedule’
3. Once the webpage with the above URL opens, candidates can scroll down the webpage and click the button Register for NMAT by GMAC button.
4. Clicking the above webpage will open another webpage with URL ‘https://www.mba.com/service/registration?isFromNMAT=true&returnUrl=https%3a%2f%2fwww.mba.com%2fexams%2fnmat%2fregister-schedule’
5. Once the website with above URL opens, candidates can register and apply for the exam.
Point to remember
Candidates can choose to make their scores visible to the colleges they want to apply for management course admission while taking up NMAT by GMAC registration itself.
The candidates who have taken the exam once, can appear for the same two times with a motive to improve their scores. The fees for taking up NMAT by GMAC registration can be paid online banking, credit/debit card.
Registration fees
The NMAT by GMAC registration fees is Rs 2800. Reschedule fees is Rs 1200 and retake registration fees is Rs 2800. Candidates must wait for the message indicating successful submission of NMAT by GMAC registration fees. They can take a printout after the message is obtained.
Admit card
The admit card for the exam is available a few days before the date of the exam. Candidates who have successfully completed their NMAT by GMAC registration can alone download the hall ticket.
They can download their admit card from the ‘Admit Card’ tab provided in the NMAT by GMAC exam account. They are required to download a fresh copy of the admit card for each attempt.
It is mandatory to show the admit card along with required IDs, and confirmation email at a test centre as well as during online proctored exam.
The applicants will be able to print their admit card with photograph after the payment is accepted by GMAC.
The questions in NMAT by GMAC are related to Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning. There will be 36 questions each from these three subjects.
The questions in Language Skills have to answered in 28 minutes, Quantitative Skills questions have to be answered in 52 minutes and Logical Reasoning questions have to be answered in 40 minutes.
